which collector's items are worth saving?

I've been saving all post-noob island collector's items (the materials you trade in), and it's time to pitch some. Are there some that are actually worth a bit by themselves, like bleached shells for the crimson carapace (but for factions)?

I haven't found anything really worth getting from the collectors (and I've finished the main story line). There are a few good items, but items just as good can be bought from weapons crafters. For example, there is a crafter with a Bronze Shield with the same stats as the Crimson Carapace Shield (+45 & -2 in stance - for 5k, some iron & steel). There are so many collectables, it's best (space -wise) just to sell them and, if you actually find a collector with something you want you can then farm/buy the proper stuff.

There are actually a lot of duplications in the mainland Canthan collectors. If you just collect all from city areas, you'll be able to get anything at anytime. I keep a bunch of stuff, all in nice neat piles. As a result of this I was able to get rid of a LOT of sub perfect stuff I had been giving out to friends/guildies/anyone who needed eq. I keep a few items for skin value and such, but mostly my inventory is better off with the ready availability of all the new collectors.
What I collect: putrid cysts, jade bracelets, pulsating growths, plague idols, naga skins, celestial essences, and soul stones. I note I should start collecting guardian moss also, but I dont.

Soul Stones can be traded for an air offhand which is useful for shock warriors.

I'd encourage everyone to keep stuff for collector armor as well, it really helps out guildies... need to farm more mantids
