Prophecies and Factions?
CobraC081375
Is there any way to go from prophecies to factions or do you have to complete prophecies before going to factions? I bought both and was told you can bring characters from prophecies to factions and play in both worlds. I see alot of ppl from factions going to Prophecies with their characters and vice versa. How do i do that?

When you get to Lions Arch, that skill dude gets you to Cantha.

For Prophecies character, you need to be ascended before you can go to Catha from LA. For Cathan character, once you reach Kaineng center, you will be able to travel to LA after you finish "Chaos in Kryta" quest, from Guardsman Chienpo, very simple quest.

Will I be able to take my existing characters in the new areas of the world? Do they keep their items, their levels, etc? If you purchase Factions, you will be able to travel to the new land, Cantha, with your Ascended characters from Guild Wars (original Prophecies campaign). Inventory items, skills, and other possessions and attainments from Guild Wars remain yours and remain useable within Guild Wars Factions. |

As stated by megalomaniac_mutant, don't really have to be infused. I have a tyrian born lvl3 storage ele and a tyrian born lvl4 storage mesmer, both wearing armor from the Shing Jea Monastery.
To OP:
Once you're at Lion's Arch, talk to the skills guy and he will give you a quest that requires you to find Mhenlo. Follow that quest and you will end up in Bejunkan Pier of Cantha. Talk to Dockhand Quangnai for the Welcome to Cantha quest and you will end up in Kaineng Center (the first town on the map for a tyrian character) . When you want to go back to Prophecies, just hit M and click on the boat west of Kaineng Center and choose Lion Arch.
To Nickelocene:
There already is.

ok next noob question: where is Lions Arch in Prophecies...ive made it as far as the great wall, regent whatever, and all that and having trouble finding other quest s and stuff as well but will look those up on guildwiki.org, but where is lions arch?
CobraC081375
yeah ive noticed everyone asking for running but mostly to pike but havent seen many asking to go to LA if you guys can help me get to LA that would be awesome
RotteN
just do the missions and main questline, and you'll end up in LA soon enough. You would seriously spoil your fun if you get a run, it's the first time you do all the stuff, it can't be boring yet ...
CobraC081375
the only thing thats really boring is trying to sell items that wont sell
like i have like 2 purple bows and staffs: Shocking Short bow and a short bow also a Hale Inscribed Staff and a Jeweled Staff and like a blue, purple, orange, and yellow dye's i think
annoying to sell stuff cus theres no way to make a shop like other games

Premium Unleaded
Most of those items you mentioned, bar the dyes, should probably be just sold to the merchants as you may have a hard time trying to find buyers.
CobraC081375
ok quik questions some of those quest between the great wall and LA require a quest item that was only give in Ashford Abbey...how do you go back and get them?

You can sell your dyes, but the rest of the stuff should either be salvaged for crafting materials, sold to the merchant, used by your character, or saved in case you want to start another character that can use it. You have very low level items that nobody will buy. Don't waste time trying to sell them. For the dyes, just pay attention to the WTS / WTB chatter to find out what others are trading them for and if you want a quick sale, undercut them. People will buy the dyes.

I don't believe your quests from pre-searing will carry over to post. The items will, however the quests won't. There's no use for those 3 items in post. The only use for them are separating the items you want to sell and the items you don't want to sell to merchant. Example below.
<---Sold 105 shards to merchant for 100g each, when you could get 3-3.5k each at the rare material trader.

I took my lvl 13 Mes over to cantha 2 weeks ago, I think Anet made an assumption that most people would have finished GW at least once by the time factions came out when they made the statement about taking over your ascended characters. Its not a pre-req

BTW, besides guru, http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Main_Page is also a good place to find information.
CobraC081375
well i do want to be able to go back and do some of the quest because some of them give you skills and also all of them give you exp to lvl unless i lvl to 20 before going back then it doesnt matter.
xiaotsu
You can't go back to pre-searing, if that's what you're trying to say...
