OMG I hit these exact same groups with me Hench team. 4 monks healing every bit of damage I could dish out, henchs dropping like flies, henchs rushing in and aggroing EVERY monster in that little hollow, DP at 60%, me crying alone at my keyboard... I decided to use a Candy Cane and try one more time. For some unknown reason, the Dolyaks came out of that hollow alone and I was able to draw them even further out and finally take them down. This whole process of capping this Elite?: 1 hour 30 mins. Times I died?: 8 Times I wanted to smash my computer?: 5 Curse words I uttered that day?:1,436 Experience of Capping Mark of Protection?:NOT Priceless .....would have had a more enjoyable time pulling my eyeballs slowing from thier sockets and stuffing the holes with salt. |

Mineral Springs is my least favourite spot for skill caps. I don't like avicaras AT ALL!
FoC capping wouldn't have been so bad, if I hadn't decided that I was going to use IW to get up there.. with henchies... switched build, tried again, and got through with a lot less deaths all around.
As for the double bosses in Factions, that's great.. but.. seeing as they do double damage, could they at least make it so I can pull only one of the two bosses? I enjoy capping from single bosses more than double bosses. I'm ok with the ele boss and monk boss combo from abaddon's mouth.. just not the same class boss twice.

I wish I'd taken players, but how are you going to get 7 other players to go out in the middle of nowhere to help you cap a random elite when it's such a pain in the arse? Nope, it's henchies or guildies. With a PUG, you'd get 75% of the way there, then people would start ragequitting, leaving, or just get tired of it, and then the whole group's hosed, and it was all for nothing. Henchies are at least reliable and won't quit out.

I simply marched up Snake's Dance, saved a few dwarves, and beat up Maw with his own... I took his skills >
Echo + Thievery for a skill-less Maw.
The worst was easily the Windriders and the spider in RoF. They just didn't like spawning EVER. If I went as an me/ele, the monk and mesmer would spawn. If I went as a me/mo the ele and mesmer would spawn. Went I went Me/R the boss didn't spawn... that mission must really hate me.

I capped 13 Monk elites yesterday, and when I started I was dreading it. But, I got in a rythym and rolled boss after boss. (MM's hate monk bosses BTW) I still have to cap Restore Condition which is wayyyyyy in the back of Abbadon's and Shield of Deflection deep in Mineral Springs. Neither will be 'hard' but they will take some time. If nothing else, just leave FoC for another day when real people can help you. EDIT: Oh, and Mungri Magicbox is the toughest monk boss for me to kill, by farrrr. I had to withdraw three times before I got him. It's the Gardner with him that makes it so hard. |

Stupid Dryder boss didn't spawn at all the first time, so I had to do Abbadon's twice.

At least 1 boss per class should spawn, always, in a mission. This random spawn in a mission thing gets old. I mean, they can move around, but they should always be there. Like iron mines. I think, there is at least 1 boss for each class there, and yes they move around a bit. But they are always there. I hated capping in those last 3 prophecy missions. Never knew if the boss was coming or not. Mineral is fun, and even more fun with DDF on. I love to watch Avicara bosses take on a wave of titans. And yes, sometimes the avicara do win.

Its not as if killing Dark Flame Dyders is a challenge with 8 players... even henchman aren't that useless. What do you mean capping in Hells or Abaddons was annoying because you didn't know if the boss was coming? Its the easiest sodding place of the lot in terms of missions. All the bosses will appear sooner or later, none of them in particularly hard places (except maybe the odd Dryder who decides not to spawn).
