just like the shiled too armor 16 and +30HP + stre+1(20%)
or some staff with the protecton +1 (20%) why do some ppl buy this upgrade?
I don't undertand that and what's the the best shiled 'stats
req8-9 +30HP rece -5 dmg (20%) what's this recev dmg -5 do ?
any attck and u get -5 dmg ??? am I right ? any one can tell me ?

It gives you a 20% chance of a +1 attribute level cast.

-5 damage is just that. You have a 20% chance to get 5 less damage from an attack. Most people prefer a more constant damage reduction, -2 while enchanted, -2 while in a stance, -3 hexed, or a combination of those.

If your Fire attribute is at 16 and you have a Fire +1 (20%) equipped, then about 1 in 5 casts results in that spell being at 17 instead of 16.

So any of those % modifiers have that chance to trigger that effect when applicable - increasing an attribute when using a skill from that attribute, reducing damage, etc.
