So I have completed the Factions story line, focusing on the Kurzick side when I hit the fork in the road. All the NPCs applauded me when I walked down victory lane in the palace. They told me what a hero I was. They promised to name their children after me (ok, not really).
But now, I go back to clean up the Gyala mission, and I find that I still have to prove my friendship before I am allowed inside? What more do these folks want?
This is a bit tongue in cheek- I recognize that this is simply the game dynamic. But, from a plot standpoint, wouldn't it make more sense if all gates were open to you, as well your friendship proven to both sides, once you have finished the last mission?
I don't particularly mind grinding 10k Luxon faction to get in, but it just seems inconstent to me. Not that consistency has ever been a huge point in GW.
I saved them but I'm still not their friend

One Shiro is defeated, old animosities rear their ugly heads quickly...

If it was consistent you would not be able to do grove and hatchery with the same character, and then people would complain about that, so the way it is now seems better to me

At no point, even after the Luxons and Kurzicks allign after Gayala, can you go to a Luxon/Kurzick town and get a warm reception if you are not the "correct" faction.
