Is there a way to transfer plat/items to players on the european server from the American Server?

have you tried meeting up with them in an international district?

Meet in the International districts.

Pick a meeting place (Lion's Arch, Witman's Folly ... ) and when you get there, select "International Districts" from the drop down menu for district (where it says American District 1)
