20/20 wand/Bortak's cesta Vs Ghials Staff

Just wondering which weapon set up would be better for a MM. Ghial's seem pretty popular now, just wondering if its just because its new. Wondering if my currrent set up, 20/20 + bortak is better or I should start farming the bone dancer.

well do you really need the +1/20%...
20/20 || 20/20 seems to be the best to me

20/20 + bortak = (20+20) cast, 20 recharge, +1 20% en+12, cold dmg;
Ghial = 20 cast, 20 recharge, +1 20%, en +15, dark dmg

So it`s up to you which set is better, 20/20 + bortak gives 20% extra cast time and have cold dmg (can be used with some skills like Spinal Shivers etc.), while staff got +3 energy (and dark dmg - no combos with skills but you can staff enemies :P). IMO your current set is better.

Remember, there's also a Bleached Skull that has an additional 20/20.

I've got Ghial's, and while the hope of +1 to Death is nice, I've already got it pumped to 16, so I'm not sure how much more useful it would be (also, haven't noticed my Fleshie at lvl 27 yet, either).

I end up using Ghial's if I've teamed with a PuG, and the Bone Spiral / Bleached Skull combo if I'm soloing/henching.

If you only get one, get the wand/cesta or BSW/BS combo. Otherwise, get both, and see which you prefer. Me, I think the glowing eye sockets are cute...

Ghials is the best choice imo since you don't really use Spinal Shivers in a MM build. Now if this was an argument for Vilnar's Set vs. The Stonereaper, the cold dmg might be more useful, but doesn't matter for a MM imo. If anything dark damage is better since enemies with +AL vs Ele dmg armor won't have the added armor against dark damage like they would against cold dmg.
