WTH is going on in Talus chute?

Ok i walk outside with my warrior to run to ice cave missions and i see a horde of avircari and trolls runs then they just start fighting each other and the funny thing about this is a superior vigor armor dropped and i just waited till the fighting finished and took the gold armor lol.So the question is, is that supposed to heppen or is it a glitch?

Tehre been some changes made, I'm not sure if that's meant to happen. But many mobs do fight each other. Some just walk past one another, but its fun when they fight.

Who won by the way?

There's a bug in the drop system (even you can drop items when you die and so do your henchies).

When groups of NPC's kill eachother they don't drop anything, unless you help. Oh, never new there was a bug in the drops I guess.

i didnt realy help them i just watch them duke it out i was quite amused when i saw the gold armor drop.

Also, sometimes, a poor Stone Summit Warrior (Lvl 10) appers infront of the ice cave...

Normally he get's owned by the trolls, the Avicaras or by me :d

Im just gonna note that geoff gets owned by the naga and drops his bulwark now...

also from leviathan go into hayla hatchery and run through it collecting free items.

The drops are bugged. If you manage to get into the agro circle you also get XP from the kills. If a henchman dies, his/her portion of the gold drops so far drops as well.

That level 10 summit has appeared randomly forever, there occassionally a level 10 ice golem in it's place. You can often find them between the crafter in Talus and the exit of teh troll cave on that side.

Riiight. I'm sure that avicara ardent must of ran out of energy or something.

The avicara have been fighting (more like 'slaughtering') those trolls for months, the new thing seems to be that mobs drop stuff when fighting eachother. I've never seen it, but am going to have a look now.

Go through a quest/mission/whatever as normal, and at the end "forget" to heal your henchies right outside the zone portal. MHAHAHAHAHAHA

I had an ecto drop for me like that, a group of coldfires killed a group of smites and the loot was assigned to us. It's probably a bug, but i like it

Just use a running build and clear the zone without fighting anything. I cleared a good portion of a few Kurzik zones doing just that.

But, this is using a known exploit and Anet does have the right to ban any accounts they see fit for that. Use at your own discretion.

There was only one mod of trolls that seemed to fight before. They were chased from the Ice Caves direction. The trolls that are from the cave end never fought before. I don't know if they do now, at work and can't check, but if they do join in the extra numbers could explain a troll victory.

lol, well you could all milk the bug for all its worth, only a matter of time till A.net correct it and patch the patch.

And if Anet ban anyone for this, I'll laugh until I cry.

That fight has always occured even before all this updates. Longest I can remeber since SF update.

Why is everyone so sure it's a bug ?

Well it was like that before that the monsters dropped Items when fighting each other. However people started to abuse it (mainly in Riverside Province where you could use your Nightmare Army to kill off the whole map without doing anything besides running around)

It got patched one day though.

Because afaik, monsters fighting themselves has never produced drops without someone getting involved. Now they do.

(Edit: ) Of course if that's how ANet intended it to be, then it's not a bug.
