There was an auction for almost the same bow (just not longbow) going for 999K so I figured it was a good deal And the bidder had good feedback

I wouldn't trust auction prices for high end items too much. There're a lot of fake bids by some immature people. Also, a buddy of the seller could be doing this to boost the price.
