Drop rates are strange for this thing. I did a few runs with my ranger last night. The first run netted me 6 axes. The next six runs netted me 5 more. It's very strange. Meh... I chalk it up to the random number gods that ANet has enlisted in their MMO.

you need to go into the "falls" drops are best in there.

I did it solo with my Warior last night.
You have to get all the way to the end of the falls to get it.
That stretch of like 7 Root Behemoths just before you get to the end is where I got my axe.
Too bad I only got one. But I was happy with it.

Yea, thats just life. Multiples on 1 run, and then a time where you don't get any for several runs.

something very strange going on why do people get 8 in 2 runs where as other people like myself net 1 on there 10th run? And these were over 3 days not one after the other

Some people tend to exagerate their drops. Makes them feel good about themselves or something.

I mean it was fun and all, but if you're a farmer, there's easier and more profitable areas to farm. I just did it to see if I could and it is exciting to see that green drop...even the crappy ones.
Anyway, builds are posted here and it's not that hard to solo with the right one.
