Leaving Guild wars, win my money
10 pages • Page 6
The reason why you should give the money to me and not anyone else is because im not going to promise you anything. Im not going to say that ill give it to newbs or that i will donate it to poor children in africa. Im not going to tell you a story about how turtles snatched my money or try to tell you my sad story so that you give it to me to make it better again.
The reason why you should give the money to me is because im going to use it. Im going to invest it in my characters, in my guild, in the game. Whilst you dont want to spend time catching up in the game i will invest your money so that i, as another player will be able to do something good with it in the game so that your time spent gaining everything wont be lost.
I think that is why i deserve you money, because im honest and im going to spend it into the right things.
btw: if you want to give me your account... :P

I hate to beg, but if you really want to make a guy/girl happy...
About me and my characters.
I am an 18 year old guy who has played GW for almost 12 months. I have four characters: An E/R, a Mo/Me, a Me/N and a W/Me. All four are at level 20, and three of them (not the W/Me) have completed the Prophecies campaign. Each of the characters (except the warrior) has decent weaponry (mostly cheap SF greens). I currently have ~15 platinum in my storage, because I'm trying to save.
Why I should receive the money.
As I just mentioned, I am currently trying to save money. I recently ordered the Factions Collector's Edition, and I can't wait to get my ritualist started!
"What are you saving for?", you might ask. Well, the word on the forums is that the quests in Cantha don't give skills, and that you have to purchase them. Obviously, this will get very costy in the long run, especially when you think about the fact that I'll be tempted to buy new skills for my already existing characters.
I can also imagine that another question emerges: "Why can't you just farm?" The truth is that I do have a 55HP monk, but I've never really gotten into UW farming. I've tried it a couple of times, but I can't get the hang of it. I have an elementalist who is capable of farming minotaurs, but I've done that run LOTS of times to afford green weapons and some other stuff (back when e.g. Wroth's set was expensive). Honestly, I cringe whenever I walk into Elona now, so some extra money would be nice to evade some boring runs.
On top of all this, I have the worst luck when it gets to drops. The best item I've come across was a +15% damage / -5 energy fellblade. I had heard about them being sort of rare, so I went to Lion's Arch to sell it. It's just too bad I didn't think about getting a price check. I ended up selling the beauty for 7 platinum.
I still yell at myself for doing that.
Finally, I'd just like to say that I probably wouldn't give away large amounts of the 360k to new people. You might not like this, but I believe that it's for their own good. The reason is that when you start giving hand-outs to a person, they're likely to think that they'll never have to make an effort to earn something. In my opinion, the best way to help the new people is to give them advice and tips instead of hard cash.
I hate to sound like a complete ass-kisser, but: You seem like a nice and generous fellow. It's always sad to see people like that leave Guild Wars. I hope you will choose wisely, and good luck in whatever you might think of doing in the future.

Well the first thing i will say is, I do not deserve it, But I would gladly except it none the less.
I have resently created a ritulist, a monk, an assassin, and a warrior. And armor and the cost of matrials, this is just the basic 1.5k armor still runs alot of money without farming, this is where i am lucky if i see over 10k while working to buy my armor.

I would give away the gold to help out new players and a few of my guildies who are extremely poor. There are a lot of new players who are guildless and by helping them by giving them some gold, I could make a difference in someone's Guild Wars experience.
I would also buy something for a few people who have helped me out a lot in the past, spending their time away from farming and PvP to give a run or help me out on a mission. In short, the gold would be mainly spent on those who need it and those who deserve it.
Even though I don't know you, it's sad to see a veteran player leave the community. Good-bye and good luck to you and your loved ones in the future.

Well, since no one has bothered to write anything and I feel like in a typing mood :P
I feel like I deserve it cause my luck is terrible, drops suck and trading sucks nowadays, not asking for much, maybe a good shield w/ +30hp and reduce blind or a super vigor for my rit
Other than that, I think there are other people more deserving, but atleast I can try. Honestly, I want free stuff, and a super vigor would make my day ^^ maybe even do what you want ingame to win that account, I only have 1 but I have a cousin that really wants to play the game but can't buy it. Oh well, too bad about you going away, gl though, and don't forget about me, my IGN is the same as my board name.
