The Gods
Francis Demeules
Yes, the gods. I wondered what is their true intention in this world. They look like they dont like each others. Every professions worship at least 1 god but Assassins and Elemantalists have more. Each place in the world is like worship a different way than other.
So I created this topic to collect an amount of informations about the Gods and try to solve the mystery each of them.
Anyway, If I remember correctly (must checked if this is it), Dwayna died in Maguuma jungle. But by who or what? I know at year 0 they left the world but seen this one confuses me.

Umm, last I checked Eles worshipped all the gods.
Fire eles-Balthazaar
Air eles-Dwayna
Water eles- Grenth
Earth eles- Melandru
I'm not sure about Asns, but I know that those are right. And wtf? Dwayna died? Where'd you get that from?

The dudes in ToA and Tannakai say that the gods benefit all professions, some more than others. Dwayna didnt die in the jungle, the Druids did, but they are not gods.
Its obvious that each profession gets a certain amount of bias from the gods, but I guess each one benefits a class in some way or another.
Regarding Assassin and Ritualists.
Assassins principally follow Grenth because their line of work is death, and Lyssa, for stealth.
Ritualists mainly follow Grenth.. they are summoning spirits from the underworld and using their powers.

awesome sauce
They used to all live together in the desert... so i assume they got along well.

Just some clarifiers:
Assassins are lyssan, you get the 'assassin of lyssa' for +1 to stats from Lyssa.
Lyssa is not a single goddess per se. Lyssa is the name given to the single manifest spirit of the two twin goddesses of beauty and illusion. The statue of Lyssa shows the two intertwined because 'Lyssa' is the name for the two when they are together as a single entity. Since both of them probably have the weakest physical presence, their spirits are intertwined as the statues show a physical form of that, hence creating the single being of Lyssa.
Which right by default makes her (singular, Lyssa is 1, but made of 2) more powerful, as there are two
It would also make sense for the heirachal structure of a Lyssan following to have a high priestess of Lyssa, and 2 more 1 rank lower each representing a facet of Lyssa, one of the two goddesses.
I don't know how any of it's relevant, but its cool nonetheless

Things interesting is how the gods have chosen their first disciples like Balthazaar and show for the first time to human's race. Its rare to hear about Melandru and Lyssa than the others.

I wanted to revive this Topic to talk about the Dervish Special's form and the propably Banished God "Menzies the Lord of Destruction" from Nightfall. In another Topic I did (Chaos in the world http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s....php?t=3069420) have many informations about Menzies.
The Dervish, they look like an Elementalist's Gods favor. I mean, they worship all the Gods.
Anyway, If Menzies is really a God, that means there 6 Gods and not 5. Wondered what will happens when Menzies comes out?
Edit, sorry for double post

Wouldnt that mean dervishes have another form? Except this one hasn't a relation with the others as far as I know..

There are five 'main' gods, and the rest are minor.
