Last Assasin Standing Contest

EDIT TO THE RULES BECAUSE OF POPULAR DEMAND:

CONTEST WILL NOW BE HELD IN THE INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT

THERE WILL BE THREE TIME SLOTS AS WELL AS A FINAL TIME SLOT:


12PM PACIFIC (7/21 OPEN SLOTS), 3PM PACIFIC (14/14 OPEN SLOTS), 6PM PACIFIC (14/14 OPEN SLOTS). THE FINAL RUN WILL TAKE PLACE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE 6PM RUNS ARE FINISHED.

ALL CONTESTANTS THAT HAVE ALREADY SIGNED UP ARE CONSIDERED IN THE 12 PM TIME SLOT.

SIGN UP AND SPECIFY YOUR TIME SLOT.


Why: The contest Celebrates 30k hits at the site: http://thegeartrick.tripod.com


Where: The Contest will be held on June 24th at Tahnnakai Temple (International district 1) at 3pm Eastern/ 2pm Central/ 1pm Mountain/ 12pm Pacific. Contestants are expected to be online at that time and the contest will start in 30 - 40minutes. During that time -the contestants will be divided up into groups of seven and explained the rules and prizes.
EDIT: runs also available at 3pm pacific and 6pm pacific. The final run will take place immediately after the 6pm runs. Finalist should be there at 6pm.

Who: Up to 49 assasins may participate. They may use any secondary as well as any skills they choose. GEAR members may not enter the contest -this is for the readers. GEAR members are encouraged to help out.
Tardies that are not online at the specified time will be replaced by pickup contestants.

Rules:

(Sign up for a contestant spot and show up. Please only seriours entries.)

1.The group must kill the first boss to advance. If there is no boss kill then the run is failed and must be attempted again. After the first boss kill -elimination begins till there is only one assasin standing.

2.You may use any secondary and any skills -you may support and ressurect team members.

3.The first assasin to die will be rezed with the overseeing moderators rez sig. This rez sig will be recharged each time a boss is killed and he will use it again accordingly after each recharge.

4.YOU HAVE TO FIGHT: you will be warned twice for being outside of aggro range and disqualified on the third warning.

5.Disconnects will be disqualified: no whining no drama on a disqualification.

6.We reserve the right to disqualify for any reason.





Prizes:

1st place: 30k

2nd place 20k

3rd place 10k

4 honorable mentions from the elimination round: major vigor rune

42 consolation prizes: 1 steel ignot


The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners will be memorialized on the The Gear Trick page as Last Assasins Standing with their time listed.

Participants will also be thanked.



YOU AGGREE TO THESE RULES BY ENTERING THE CONTEST.

HOW TO SIGN UP: Post the name of your Assasin's IGN and, in 3 to 5 senteces, tell why you are going to be the Last Assasin Standing. I will post the selected contestants on Friday Morning: only 49 will be chosen. Show up in Tahnnakai Temple (US server: district 1) at the specified time and look for Derrick the Nomad or Heimdall Atreus. If you do not show -your spot will be replaced by by a pickup contestant.

sounds cool, but can it be held in INTERNATIONAL district? Makes a bit more sence.

I checked that district and it's dead -so unless a lot of europeans sign up (and they will have to specify that they are european) -This contest will stay on the US server.

It makes more sense to use International district since it will be empty. That way you won't need to compete with normal PUG formation in the American district.

Just my two cents.

I believe I'll be the Last Assassin Standing because I move fast with my character. I'm good at judging when its time to move out before dieing. Hope my judgement is great during the contest. And because majority of the assassin out there think they can tank, let them do their stupid crap and die, while I win.

I believe i will be the last assassin standing because I have never played a Warrior so I know how much abuse a 70 al char can take before its time to get out. Also because i dont try to tank like a wammo

i might not have read well, but last assasin standing in a group of 8, with one person most likely ressing?

i dunnno but if i had an assasin i would have a self heal build with minimal dmg

I believe that I will be the last assassin standing! After killing hoards of Afflicted, I feel that I can keep alive against those crazy people for ages. Finally we can find out that assassins can charge and won't die like a frenzied healsiging warrior.

I'll be the LAS because I'm great at dancing in and out of danger. I've also had a couple of practice runs with decent results.

In game is Jester Vile. A/E20. He will obviously be the last Assassin standing. Because his master studies this game and has played this game top to bottom, bottom to top. Over and over.
