Seeing that the existence of max-dmg for both is still in doubt, I was wondering where we draw the line between merchant and tradeable tribal axes and sickles.

only one max tribal axe has been found so far I think... about the same for sickle... i'd say the only ones that are collectable are 6-26 and up...

i'd say 500k+ and upwards for a max sickle/tribal axe
PS: i found a non-max tribal from life pods in the magumma jungles..

Well, so far we seem to have covered common white sickles and tribal axes and as stated by Stu and MB, anything above 6-26 for either will have a higher than merchant value.
However, as Rain has pointed out, both weapon types may be found as common blue drops as well. Therefore, does the 6-26 dmg still apply?
I've had a couple of common blue precious sickles and tribals in the past and I'm not saying that these are collectables. However, would a tribal axe or sickle with an inherent damage mod albeit with lower than 6-26 dmg have any value? For example, something like this:

blues (with dmg mod) are of course rarer..but none would wanna invest in it if its no where near max though

and don't forget that you can easily make a white axe blue by adding some cheap mod like an elemental upgrade on it.
of course, it still won't have the inherent damage mod if not id'ed with it.

i would settle for 6-24 or higher or 7-24 or higher.
the rumoured max dmg tribal was started by nef who i think traded a 6-27 sickle and a million gold or something for it. it may have been one of his look at me im so rich bs stunts though... if he returns i would love a ss or to see it ingame.
pre victos the only ones which sold well were 6-24 or more. inherent mods on a 6-24 would also be desirable. now i think that even though rare one which more than two or three of max wont sell that well
a friend had a sickle and tribal farming area in jungle where he found a 6-24 sickle back in the days when everyone wanted one. im off to farm there now to find a tribal lol

me and guildies used to farm divinty coast and missions around there for them.. Mergoyles and life pods drop the sickles,sold a 6-25 damage +10% while enchanted for alot a while back

I have been told by a well respected member of these forums that 6-27 dmg ones did drop at the sanctum cay mission from executioners.

Just finished Aurora Glade with my Factions character so will probably be doing SC tomorrow. Dam... Shutdown for a few playing hours tomorrow...
O well, make that in a day or two...In the meantime, got a req 7 6-19 12% in stance Tribal yesterday... My drops are getting worse...lol

the following build is good for farming exectioners:-
mending, dolyak, riposte, deadly riposte, heal sig, sprint and some other sword skill and a stance
i had some amazing build which could take on the massive mob with executioners in it but when the old guild site went down i lost it

Been mapping and soloing The Falls and all I got was a dozen Ancient eyes,300 plant fibers, a non-max gold Medusa Head Grim Cesta and a crappy Totem Axe... One thing's for sure, I'm not hunting in that area again unless I can somehow find a way to fit in Sprint as it's a dam long way to run when one dies...lol

If we're going to keep the discussion alive, I guess I'll add some notes on my drops for the day:
Had two sickles (one blue and one white) drop in Tangle Root while I was mapping the area. One by a wind rider and the other by a jungle troll. Both were far from max, with the highest being a 6-19. I guess 6-20s may be found in the area, but I'll leave the confirmation to someone else as I'll be soloing around Riverside Province and Sanctum Cay in the next few days.
In the meantime, if anyone comes across a sickle or tribal which has a dmg of 6-25 and above, please feel free to use this thread for your PC as I believe the interest is shared by all players - including mods and PCGurus.

Sorry ratchet, seems like only tribals or sickles with anything above 6-25 dmg has a value, although a 6-24 could possible fetch a few ks as well.

Seems like the rarerst item ingame. What would the price of a max dmg 14/15% modded axe? talking about ^50 / stance / enchanted / hexed. This is rarer than the crystalline...

I have seen a tribal come out of the quest reward chests in FoW once as though like other keyless chest can drop anything just extremely rare for some thing like these and crystallines.

Well, I'm done for now... Soloed Twin Serpent's Lake, Tears of the Fallen, Stringray Strand as well as both Riverside Province and Sanctum Cay missions and the only thing that dropped was a Tribal Axe 5-14. Not saying that sickles and tribals don't drop in these areas but I'm off to the desert to map and complete the missions. Will return someday with my Prophecies characters for another search.

Tribals with no requirements do drop on Shing Jea Island but have not seen any elsewhere in Cantha... Might try a bit of solo around Kaineng later when I finish Tyria.
Farming sickles are plenty though...

in last month i farmed ~3-5 hours and i found 3 sickles and 2 tribal axes ... there are many lvl 20 and 4 LVL 24 BOSSES they could dropp a max dmg or perhaps a gold one ... i´ll farm now every day 3-5 hours ^^ but only one of the 3 sickles/tribal axes was 6-20 ... sold all merch if i find one i´ll post @ high end forum and u will pay me millions :P
