Understanding faction

Well, I started a Guild, which is luxon. So far, I have 4 members, we had 15, 000 luxon, next time I look we have only 13, 500 .. I don't understand where the 1, 500 went .. If anyone could enlighten me on what could of happened, please do.. I have searched trying to find reasons as in the ways you can lose faction and have come up with zilch..

More specifically, 10% of the faction currently in your alliance is lost every day.

As far as I know, your faction degrades at a rate of 10% per day.

Wow...the more you have the more you lose....If you have a mere 1000 you lose 100...no big deal, you can make it back breaking wind...but if you have 100,000 you lose 10,000...ouchie...that's a couple hours in Arborstone....

But, the guild is only 2 days old, so even 10% wouldnt equal to our loss.. hmm, do you lose faction if you lose a member ? Or, do you lose faction if say, someone trades in kurzick? I've only been playing for about a month now, thinking maybe i should buy the strategy guide lol .
