Character Slot Order

Didn't see this as suggested before, but I'd like it if we could change the order our characters appear in on the character selection screen. Before Factions, character order was determined alphabetically, and that transferred over to the square slots when the factions interface came out. Since it's all square now, it'd be cool to change the order.

For me, I'd probably arrange them in the ones I use most often, or melee on one side and non-melee on the other. Would also be cool to put pvp all on one side. Just a little feature that would be nice to have! Nothing too big, just a small feature to move a character or two.

I'm used to the order mine are in now, although it was confusing for a while when I made new characters and the order of characters changed frequently. Now, the only thing I would like to do is to move my PvP slot to number six, as opposed to keeping it where it is at slot two.

It could be as simple as click and drag. /signed.

When the new slots are added this will be very important, or you will have to worry about alphabetical order when naming your new characters

Sami it was alphabetical before factions, when the login screen and all that had the old interface (destroyed Ascalon). Now for new characters you can choose where, but can't change your old pre-factions ones or new ones.

Now this is kinda funny... I was making a new character in a slot between two other characters (both pve). At the character naming screen, I went afk for a bit however, and came back to find I was disconnected. I come back on and that empty space I was making a character in disappeared and the two slots that were on both sides are now next to eachother.

Maybe you can try that acca. Delete pvp char, wait at naming screen (or any creation screen might work) till it disconnects, and come back. Perhaps a temporary solution. Don't know if I selectively got bugged or this what happens normally either.

I would love to organized them by PvE vs PvP types before they go by the alphabetical order
which would be important when we are able to add more character slots

For a while my PvP was slot six. Suddenly it just got reordered and it's annoying.

heh, same thing happened to me. for months and months it was my custom order i had created the chars in (with pvp being last slot) until about two weeks ago when out of the blue it reordered itself into alphabetical order. now I have a 11 month old char in slot 6 that i'm VERY scared i'm going to accidently delete because i'm used to just going in and recreating char slot #6 when needed for pvp.

This might seem odd but I want my 3 Factions chars on one side and my 3 Prohecies chars on the other side.

My guild has a thing about backstory and a few of my characters are linked. (father and son, fellow adventure, things like that) I'd quite like to be able to have links to look at.
