Picture bug or what?

well today i was at the war camp, trying to buy a razorstone.. i found a seller and negotiated with a decent price and then we proceeded to trade.

however, when he put his item there it showed Under Construction.. so i'm like.... ???????? i told him about it and he's like "what do you mean"?

well he didn't look like a scammer but i don't like taking chances seeing as there are a few scammers so i had to close down the trade. here's the screen:

I got the same thing during a trade...that icon showed up for just a sec, then the item appeared...i closed the trade as it looked pretty suspect.

I went through this when I bought a newly released green. I was thinking wth, traded anyways cause I was getting a great deal. Went out of town and equipped it and it turned the upper half of my character white. Then I continued to mess around with it and after a minute or so everything appeared just fine. It was like my account needed to adjust to it or something and d/l the new icon and skin...

Happened when I was selling a Totem Axe.

Me too... a guildie gave me some daggers and they had the hardhat guy
for a couple of hours before the actual pic showed up.

All the icon means is you don't have the correct icon for the item, ie it hasn't been streamed to you yet. No scam involved.

It could have been streamed to you, just not decompressed yet (they stream you ALOT of stuff, most of which waits til one of their "new builds" to actually decompress itself).

It does that ALOT with newer items (for you) - you probably haven't encountered a Razorstone since installing (or reinstalling) chapter 1 so it never bothered to give you the icon for it.

For me, buying factions armor that first day would have been impossible, because I couldn't see what ANY of the armor looked like before buying it. >_<

Just so i know, what does a scammer look like ?

psychology plays a big part.. its the way they type, the words they use (this is before the actual trade window)... and its more about visualizing i guess. that's how i see it. i visualize chats sometimes and like you just know sometimes.. but in the end, just make sure the stuff in the trade window is correct.

Create a desktop shortcut and enter this code.

-image downloads and decompresses all the compressed files in the gw.dat file. This will improve load time in new areas and get you up to date.

Use this switch by itself, the game will exit/end as soon as it's done decompressing.
