This is abuild i came up with in 5 minutes to farm the totem axes in The Falls. This build can take on the Behemoths, Life pods, Jungle Skales, and the Wind riders.

Skill Bar:
Cleave{E}
Healing Sig
Penetrating Blow
Executioners Strike
Sprint
Shields up
Endure Pain
Mending

Attributes:
Healing Prayers 5
Strength 9+1
Axe Mastery 12+1
Tactics 9+1
NOTE: This build means that you should already have the extra attributes quests done.

Weapons:
I suggest an axe with a +15% while enchanted mod on it.
Shield shuld have while enchanted mods and another should have While in stance mods for running.

Running to The falls:
Running to the Location is maybe the hardest part, depending on your running experience.

Start off at Ventari's refuge:

thats the easy part. The next run is hard because of all the spiders that use Pin Down and Apply poison on you. This is where Shields up comes in handy. Use it to dodge the poison and pin down shots, If your health gets too low due to poison, use Endure pain. Just dont forget to heal urself before it runs out!

At last you made it closer to the Farm zone. There will still be a few spiders in this area so watch out and do the same procedure as the last zone.

Run in that path untill you find the behemoths, Kill anything that might get in your aggro circle before you go after the behemoths.

Enemies that might bother you:

Jungle Skales: these are pretty simple to kill, they use Rotting Flesh which diseases you and gives you health degen so keep healing. They also use Strip enchantments so there is no point of using Mending here. You should be able to take on a bunh without dieing. i can usually get 5 or 6 at a time as long as i keep using healing sig.

Wind Riders: These beasts will really give you a hard time if your not paying attention. They put Conjure Phantasm on you and interrupt your healing with Cry of Frustration. Try to onyl face one at a time. But if you aggro a whole group, run in a take em out 1 by 1 then switch to your stance shield and sprint bak and regen. Dont use mendiing cause thye will shatter it and youll take dmg. TIP: During Battle, use Mending so they can interrupt it and you can use ur healing sig right away.

Life Pods: Here is when you put on your mending. These guys are simple, they are lvl 15. It just takes a while to kill them because they use Holy Wrath which reduces the dmg hit on them and it gives you dmg everytime you hit them. IF you are caught in a group of 2 or 3 it will be hard because they heal eachother which makes it longer to kill. NOTE: Always kill the Life Pods before you kill the Behemoths..

Root Behemoths: You've finally reached them! These are easy to kill as long has you have your mending on. Just keep attacking them with Cleave, Penetrating Blow, and Executioners Strike, untill they are dead.

Once you kill all of them you should at least get 1 totem axe and a whole lot of crap that u can sell to the merchant and get Cash

there must be beter builds out there then this one. I would like some feedback on it if possible.

There is a much better route than this one

There is a path to the west, near the entrance from reed bog, basicly u dont run down to the trolls& spiders , but around them and running through scarabs instead

take that and then take the most southern path from that, when it divides

As soon as I heard about these new axes I set out on a solo trip with my W/Mo and used the following build:

Sever Artery
Galrath Slash
Silverwing Slash
Sprint
Healing Hands
Healing Breeze
Mending
Balthazar's Spirit

It worked surprisingly well against everything on my way to the falls except for the enchantment removing skales who I just sprinted past. I had the best luck ever when I reached the Behemoths. After dispatching the Life Pods around my first encounter and then the Behemoth I got a Totem Axe. I proceeded to the next Behemoth and I got another Totem Axe!! I was 2 for 2. I couldn't believe it. I killed as many Behemoths I could find until running into a lot of Riders and getting shattered and degened to death. Still quite a successful run IMO.

Yeah, I use the West route through Reed Bog also much easier.

Welll. After some experimenting I have a build... This is my first build I've ever posted. So here it is:

Armor: I use Glad's with a Knights for the absorb.

Runes, whatever you think works best. I'm not setup perfect. but whatever.

Here however is the meat:

1. Frenzy - This little bad boy lets you kill them life pods.
2. Power Attack - Mainly used for the coup de grace on Lifepods.
3. Executioners Strike - Same as Power Attack, coup de grace on life pods.
4. Deflect Arrows - Christ, a use for this damned skill at last. Better than shields up, 75% blocking against projectiles... Yummy.
5. Sprint - Fairly obvious what this is used for *zoooom*.
6. Healing Breeze - Heal yourself outside of Aggro.
7. Vigorus Spirit - Battle heal. Re-use as needed.
8. Healing Hands {Elite} - When about 50% health, Ya toss this on. Works well.

Now you're thinking to yourself. "Shields Up" Ya, 50% but you can sprint at the same time as it's on.

However, I find that it's easier to use Deflect to get through the majority of the spiders and stuff on the run. Once they're all chasing me, then I can sprint past them and drop the aggro. It's all about timing... You should know that...

I'm not gonna go into attributes or anything, if you know what you're doing you should be able to figure it out.

Anyways. I can solo the entire run, and kill every Lifepod and Root Behemoth on the map.

Wind Riders ARE however a problem. At which point you just sprint past and lose the aggro. I thought about taking out Healing Breeze and puting Holy Veil in, I dunno, I haven't tried it yet.

I had 3 Root Behemoths right next to each other. I killed all 9 lifepods and behemoths... Granted it took a while, to learn the timing to know when to hit the Frenzy/Power Attack/Executioners Strike.

Additionally. Don't use Frenzy on the Behemoths, they wild blow you and knock your stance out. No biggie, just DPS them to death, and use executioners and power attack when needed.

Fairly simple if you ask me.

^^ I think that's what he meant, as his next line starts with "however...." He's saying you don't actually need to do that. Personally I can make it with just sprint and endure quite fine. On to Rajazan's Fervor now tho!

Yeah, I get massacred by about 75 spiders trying to make the run through the falls all spamming pin down and poison. Maybe I just suck, but I don't see how it can be done.

I made about 400k (10k per axe at the time) from these axes, not long after they first started dropping using the following build. I got the build, I think, from gwonline. Got sick o doin it tho and now only accompany guildies who want an axe or want to learn how to do it. I used to get 2 or 3 axes per run.

Skills
Cleave, Penetrating Blow, Watch Yourself, Frenzy, Sprint, [whatever ya like], Mending & Healing Sig.

Attributes

Axes 14
Tactics 10
Strength 10
Healing 8

The run is easy even if the spiders use pin down. My health never went below 50%. Also, I use a Wyvern Helm of Superior Stength on the run so I can get that little bit extra outta Sprint.

Then I swap back to me Axes Helm of Superior Axes. I can take on two groups of Skales with this build and live. If the empathy Boss spawns around a Root Behemoth, tough shit . He's a tough one. The other Wind riders, just run in, use only Frenzy and Watch Yourself, maybe kill two or three then Sprint outta there. Heal up and run back in.

The last time I did this was, I think, a week ago. Was helping me guildie. I was using a Victo's Axe and an Exalted Aegis.

And bring a longbow to lure. Makes things a bit easier

I rarely have problems with the run, unless I screw up later in the farm and try to run it a second time with 15% DP and all the spiders already spawned. Usually when I die it's from being body blocked by trolls on the bridge later on.

Use mending for the run through the spiders. Now the degen from poison is only -1, the pin down shots only last a couple seconds, and you aren't taking much damage. Just keep walking, use sprint when you get the energy (not often, with only +1 regen and debilitating shot from the trees), and heal sig if you ever get out of primal echoes. With no major or sup runes and a major vig, I have plenty of health to just tough it out. Shields up or deflect arrows aren't required, although they help a little.

If you are going to have 5 in healing prayers dont use mending use watchfull spirit it provides 2+ regen has a small shatter buffer AND means you can put more into str/tactics

edit: mind you the "mending fake" will be drain more energy

Oh man, so angry with myself. Should have done some more homework before I went. I used my vengefull rit, thinking that it should be easy just killing the spiders along the way since everyone seems to be having a problem with that. That went perfectly. Picked up about 10k worth of cash and gold/purple drops. I was allready congratulating myself on a job well done!

Untill I came to the first behemoth. Damn life pods. Vengefull simply cant keep up with the healing. Even carefully trying to aggro only the behemoth didnt work, since the pods seems to spawn with the first damage the behemoth takes. I have been trying to figure out a way to do some more damage, but cant think of anything else except maybe backfire and empathy? Not going to try again tonight since the going there takes about an hour if you stop to kill the spiders.

Any suggestions on how to get around the healing?

Pull them so you only face 1-2 pods at a time (thus the longbow you see mentioned in previous posts). Use a fiery or pruning weapon for more damage vs plants. They can be pretty tough to kill if there are 3 of them. Heck even 2 can be a bother.

Don't try to farm it with stuff like VWK Rit or 55 monk?

Farm it with stuff that actually does Damage and they are easy :\

Totem axes go for about 3-5k now, and a full run takes about 45 minutes if you are fast. I usually get about 3-4 totem axes a run, and if you go to droks there is always someone there buying them for 3k each, so it is an easy 12k. I do not think it is worth it anymore though, because sometimes the spawns are horrible, and will make the run take over an hour to complete.
