The 7900 GT one hell of a GFX, do you think my computer can take it?

two 3.4GHZ Pentium 4 Processors
1.5 MB of ram
Windows XP
Right now I have geforce 6800

If my computer cant handle it, what GFX card is worth getting and is an nvidia. Price is not a matter.

Heh, I'd do something about that 1.5 MB of RAM. The DOS dynasty ended a long time ago.

Aside from that, a 7900GT will complement your computer nicely.

With that card and the 1.5 mb of ram, you will be able to play minesweeper on highest visual settings.

Would a nVidia GeForce FX5200 Video Card, PCI, 128MB SDRAM play guild wars?

Must be 1.5gb, because the lowest ever windows xp run was 8mb of RAM.

Lol, sorry for the mistake. Is there any way of telling if you have a PCI Express slot on your motherboard without opening it up? And so you think my computer would be awesome with 7900 gt?

it should but you might want to look at a 6 series PCI card for a wee bit more possibly 6200/6600 pci version

probably very good as my old GF4 Ti 4200 did a great job and my 5600 ultra works fine but not as well as my 6600GT

search is down and i cant find the link to the 6 series pci cards.

EDIT

YOU CANT PUT AGP IN PCI SLOT.

these are pci versions

EDIT AGAIN

I was just wondering if my current comp/video card can run guild wars. i Have a amd athlon 64 processor 3500+ with 2.19 Ghz and 960 Mb of Ram. My Grapics card is a Ati Radeon Xpress 200 series (256mb).

(1 Gb system memory, 200 Gb hard drive)

i'm not really worried about the computer, just the graphics card

Chances are you have a PCIe or AGP slot so I'd dl CPU-z and check. If you're stuck on PCI... well...

It's under the motherboard tab, click attachment - that's my agp slot.

Depends. What Power Supply do you have, and how many amps does it have on the 12v rail(s)? It should say on a sticker on the side of your current Power Supply.

I currently have a maxpower with 500 watts max. (this is a cheap brand though, so its probably equivalent to 300 watts on a good brand). I also have an extra power supply. its a bestec with 300 watts.

I already have that. I know my comp will work, but that doesnt totally scan graphics cards. So can anyone tell me if the graphics card will work?

it scans the video card as well.

i know this for a fact as i ran my other pc to see if OBLIVION would run on it and it said no and flagged the video card.

if it says it will run it will run.
