$49.99 or no?

i only have the GW Faction installed on my comp, and recently, i got a used copy of Prophecy, but since the account for Faction and the Prophecy are not the same, i can't merge them together.

Now the question is, if i purchase a Prophecy CD key off PlayNC, will i be able to add that key to my current Faction account and merge it together?

I know usually people have the Prophecy account and merge Faction Cd key onto it, but i am not sure if i can do it vice-versa.

if anyone know for sure or has done this before, plz let me know, cuz i surely don't want to spend $49.99 and realize i couldn't merge them together.

AFAIK it does work both ways, theyre both stand alone games so it would be silly f you couldnt , gl all the same.

i am not certain about buying prophecy online but i know at my stores the price went down to 40 after factions came out. you may be able to save a few bucks if you but the hard copy.

Yeah don't buy off of NCSofts website. They seriously over charge. I saw a Best Buy add this weekend for Factions at $37.99 USD. I am sure they have Prophecies at the same price. Just check around.

Just so you're not confused. If you buy a new Prophecies account, you can merge it to Factions. Use select the link from the login screen to enter a new access key.

The reason you couldn't merge the "used" Prophecies account is because the key was already used to create an account. To link accounts, you have to add a "new" key to an existing account. If you had installed Factions after the "used" Prophecies key, you would have been able to link them.

So, you have to buy a new Prophecies account and add the access key to your Prophecies account. Now you can use the original used Prophecies acct for storage and to run your characters through Prophecies if you wish.

Or, see if anyone's doing a "package" deal and buy Prophecies and Factions together at a reduced price.

Then you can have two merged accounts and 12 character slots!
