Need an estimate current value of Summit Axe collection

With the assistance of numerous players from around the world, I have finally managed to complete my Summit Axe collection.

Most of these axes were bought pre-Factions with their values having depreciated considerably over the past couple of months. Thus, I am looking for an estimate on their current value as a whole in order that I may make a comparison as to what I have paid for them over the past three months of my search.

The total sum of my expenditure will be revealed when I have received some expert estimates and calculated an average of these values.

Finally, I would like to thank you all in advance for your kind assistance and wish you all a good game.

Nice collection. Here are my thoughts:

15>50
15 -5
15 -10 armor
^ 40-60k/ea

15 stance
15 ench
^ 20k/ea

15 vs hexed
20 while hexed
20 below 50
^ 10-15k/ea (buyer dependant)

15 -1 health regen
15 -1 eng regen
^ about 10k (buyer dependant)

as i said to you ingame a few minutes ago, these (along with everything else in this game) have suffered a massive drop in trading value due to the changes that factions brought along. my calculations show that the sum of all these items at current market value (roughly) is ~220-320k.

however, as a complete collection, it is worth more than the sum of its individual parts, so if you ever decide to sell the complete set, i'm sure you'll get more than that estimate.


ps. pre-factions ~1-1.5mil

After doing some simple maths with the two estimates provided, it would seem that my Summit Axe collection is worth around 300k...

Would also like to add that bacon is spot on with the pre-factions estimate as I paid around 1.5 million in total for the axes - mostly at buyout prices.

Anyway, I would like to thank dorkxd and extra bacon for having taken the time to give a quick estimate on the collection. If anyone else would like to contribute, please do pen your thoughts.

In the meantime, instead of starting another thread, I would like to ask if gold Medusa Head Grim Cestas are common, and if yes, are there any with max stats out there?

as for the medusa... it is rare to get really nice ones, but they aren't super rare in itself... have seen alot of golds and have a really nice one myself

Cheers Stu! Guessed as much that you would drop in sometime or other... I skipped a major part of Maguuma jungle with my characters and have only started exploring the area thoroughly in order to achieve Grandmaster title... Drops here are not perfect, but they sure are full of surprises for me.

Well, better continue my search for a perfect Medusa Head... Might be able to recover the cost of the axes...lol

Ah finally, a person who appreciates the true value of these axes... It's a pity I didn't get to know you a lot sooner or better MB... Would have saved myself a lot of time and effort in acquiring this collection.

O well, part of the joy of owning such a collection comes from the thrill of the search as well as competition from fellow collectors. I would like to thank all the players (see list of names) who have made this collection possible and to say that in no way do I feel that I have overpaid for any of the axes even though their value may have depreciated by 80% post-Factions. Until Anet starts mass-producing perfect max gold req 7 axes, I currently have a complete set of Summit Axes and am happy with it.
