Ok so i use to play guild wars like in the summer, and i just installed it again with my cd's, and when i look at the top of the login screen it says "Guild Wars Factions" and i only play the ORIGINAL Guild Wars, since that is all i own, and when i log in, it says "Your account is not currently authorized to play Guild Wars" in a little red box. Then below that it has the 4 Empty Character Heads, which i am guessing are from Guild Wars Factions, since the original only have 3 characters and not like that. Can you please help me i really would like to play! Thank you so much!

send in a support ticket to GW.

the first response is auto reply.

before 24 hours reply that the first answer did not solve the problem to get a person looking at it. (otherwise it will be auto closed as solved)

GW did have 4 slots not 3 and it says Factiond no matter what you have.

Did you participate in the preview weekend? It sounds like that is the account you are logging into rather than your original account.

As far as I know, it's the same Login screen regardless of which version of GW you own. You can think of it as an advertisement for Factions if you like.

Can you access any of the characters on your account to play with them?

The log in screen has changed since summer. It used to be the campfire and is now a seascape. It changed quite some time before Factions came out.
As for the authorisation problem, I hope it gets sorted out for you.

make sure you are using the original e-mail you used when you started the account...things change, people forget, odd things happen. I reloaded the client from the on-line site after my computer crashed...did something similar. Try loading it from the site, or go to managing my accounts and make sure you are in order there (right access key and all)...worth a shot

As for your empty slots, 2 more were added for factions, you wont be auth'ed to use them without it.
