Hey I just switched to mo/n from mo/w after hearing that ss farming is alot quicker. So I decided to try it out. I mainly used ss and reckless haste, and I decided to try it out on trolls

I died
Too many interrupts eventhough they missed 43% of the time...
I tried guardian, which indeed helped, but I noticed that I had to cast it every single time before casting a spell... In conclusion they didn't die quickly enough and shortage of energy b/c most of the hits didn't connect...

If you have a ss farmer could you please give some tips on your way of not getting interrupted?

Really Appreciate thanx.

i use a necro / monk and i brg reckless haste so they attack faster (more ss damage) but miss like 45% of the time... i dunno seemed to work for me... maybe i got lucky only did it a couple times... i worried more aout 10 trolls all hitting me at once... i sat at about 20 health the whole battle... ill try at home tonite and see what works for me

Trolls are a terrible place to use Mo/N SS'ing. You should try SS'ing in the desert (non-rockshot groups) on griffons and minotaurs for practice first. The one good thing about SS vs SoJ is that you can put SS on mobs that just spam spells constantly and never attack you in melee. So in some places it works better than SoJ, but anything melee stick with your cookie cutter SoJ build.

The 2 sec casting time of SS (and other necro builds) pretty much kills it's use in many farmable areas. If you insist on killing mobs that use interrupts with Mo/N SS you need some type of evasion skill. The main thing used to avoid melee interrupts is Guardian, but even then it's only going to work 40-50% of the time.

Edit: Reckless Haste + Guardian might do the trick. Spamming Guardian really eats up your energy quick though. Also don't forget Reckless Haste affects "adjacent foes" not everybody surrounding you...

i have a 55 necro which is pretty much the same as a 55 monk with ss and i dont use reckless haste(since i dont have factions) and guardian is enough for me....ur energy problem i think lies within using guardian AND reckless haste as the trolls will u hit only about 20% of the time which means less energy.....u should just use reckless haste and accualyl look at the screen so u know when the trolls have use thir disrupts, also bring insidious parasite...really helps keep ur health up
so overall ur build should be: ss, reckles, IP, SP, HB, and enchants
if u have any question just PM...my IGN is Linux Nacrot

thanks I will try it out soon. how do i know when the trolls will use their disrupt skills though? also If I bait mending and balthazaars spirit do you think it'll decresase my disrupts?

also I thought of something interesting... I'm thinking of adding zealots to make the mobs run away then cast ss ...

"Pre-nerf" is incorrect. It's pre-buff.

Requirement Begins With R [notQ]

From recent UW experience, monster interrupts have been buffed a bit probably to cut down on mass-farming. They seem to interrupt my Reversal of Fortune (1/4 cast time) through Max Reckless Haste and Bonetti's Defense

All I can suggest is Guardian and a lot of persistence.

Edit: Use a 20/20 curses wand too

Fastest I have been able to do trolls is Arcane Echo with Shield of Judgement with that mantra that makes you uninterruptable) or the new Shield of Judgement with Retribution build based on Spirit Bond. Both basically have no downtime waiting for a skill to recharge while you are being hit by trolls, and the 1/4 cast time of Spirit Bond or Protective Spirit are essentially uninterruptable.
