I was just wondering, because my (future) IW mesmer dosn't have IW yet, and i was wondering if i should focus on domination or illusion for the remaining time during pve.
-thanks
IW Mesmer... PVE, what do you do whithout it?

IW is easily capturable right outside Camp Rankor in Talus Chute (the boss is practically viewable mere seconds out the portal). You might want to consider getting rushed to Droknar's so you can capture IW very early.

Or don't use it? Ok, ok, I won't hate on the skill too much, if you're hellbent on using IW in PvE, since you'll need 16 illusion anyways you might as well go with more spells from that line, some degen maybe, clumsiness, whatever. Or, if you feel so inclined, use arcane echo with IW, and assuming no enchant removal, you can have it up all the time (use a 20% enchant increase item).
The Red Knight
use healing signet and distort with conjure phantasm

I wonder if the warrior riposte skills work with IW?

You wont gain any adrenaline from attacking with IW, but you will (slowly) gain adrenaline from being attacked.
However, if you can survive being beaten on long enough to use riposte, you probably don't need riposte in the first place to help you survive.
I agree with Minwanabi here- there's so much enchantment hate in PVE that it makes it very hard to use later on. Early in the game there are relatively few monsters with enchantment removal, but once you hit the jungle/desert/S Shiverpeaks you're almost always fighting multiple monsters with enchantment removal, so you need to plan for IW to go down.

crap. Three groans for over-specialization. And Bonetti's needs adrenaline to work. Wary Stance would do it, hoping that your opponent likes to spam skills at you. Deadly Riposte would work, since it needs energy, but big whoop at this point.
So an IW is really only feasible in PvP? Even then, I've seen and been known to rip enchantments apart. Everything's a risk, it seems.
