I think this may be too tough for the servers to record and host many many videos at any time. Im not sure of the technicalities, but something like that. IMO, get fraps or a camera and tape em youself.

Scrimmages are mostly for trying out new builds. Making them observable means that the new build is available for everyone to see and the guild finds itself overwhelmed by counters. So after that it's a very complicated game of rock, paper, scissors with the guild passing on false info to make other guilds make a counter then counter that counter.
Also, making scrimmages observable would just make some high level guilds put on theatre or something. I just don't want to think of what would happen when Treacharous Empire start doing Shakespeare in their guild hall.

I believe the Original Poster mean that they are observable by other people in the guild only, not anyone.
Also, the servers would not need to host anything. The entire reason they are hosted for high-end GvG matches is to prevent cheating by telling people what the others are doing. I doubt that would be necessary for a Scrimmage since it's a casual game and used to practise builds etc. Therefore, spectating could be done in realtime.
If this were to be implimented in the ways I have described, I am all for it. /Signed.
