Vote Kick+Replace
The milk shake
Its been too common that i see these games with like leechers n stuff, or just peeps who go afk right when it starts, and once we are doing with the mission or quest make up some excuse. There should be a option to vote kick em and replace them with like a henchman of the leader's choice. You would need like 4/6, 3/4, or 6/8 of the people to agree to do this

But some of these people here wont agree, they are leechers and AFKers themselves and wont sign it. if I go AFK, it's for one minute and I let them know. I see people go AFK in the first level in the tombs and then they magically come back right as we are about to do the final battle. They benefit because we cannot get rid of them. Yes abuse will occur but there is a thing called REPORT ABUSE that will make the abusers pay. Leechers in Fort Aspenwood and other places are way out of hand but reasonable alternatives will not fly with many of the people on this board.

However I'm not sure how easy it would be to implement.

I'm sorry but the reasons why vote kicking will NEVER work have already been listed many times over in this particular forum.
The developers simply cannot ensure that people will not be booted simply because they got an ecto or green drop.
I'm all for getting the leeches and scammers and undesirables out of the game, however vote kicking (unless combine with another measure - resulting in a fairly complicated procedure) is NOT the answer.

The other way it would be abused is in missions such as thunderhead. You join a guild group who turn out to be a little immature, drawing body parts in the radar, etc. You're one minute away from completing the mission when you are suddenly vote kicked back to the beginning for their fun. I guarentee that this would happen very regularly.

Mister Muhkuh
maybe there should be a "veto" function, too...
not sure how this should work, who could use it, etc. ...

Its unfortunate, but this would be abused, whether a person who got a rare item drop would be kicked or right before the end of a mission for no reason so they have to start over. Anet doesnt do crap about reported abuses even if you get a screenshot. How would you prove that you were booted unfairly?
Perhaps this can work.

monk domination
sry but thats the dumbest thing ive seen.....what if the other person just isnt liked by the members of the party....they still need the mission done, you cant force them to play the way u want, they payed for the game

You see, this works in every other game out there... why shouldn't it work in Guildwars? It might be abused? Uh uh uh... there is a LOT of abuse in Guildwars. There just is NO reason for not implementing a vote kick system. You're facing much more abuse without a votekick system than you would face with it.
Sure, the occasional guild group could vote kick you from a mission. So what? They're easy enough, please don't cry a river about having to restart a mission. The argument about a rare drop is simply nonsense, it would be easy enough to implement a function that someone getting votekicked gets his items nonetheless.
You know, a lot of people are acting like total asses just because you can't do a damn thing about it.

see, I told you, they talk about extreme and rare instances to insult you just for making the suggestion. if the guild group or the teenager jerks kick you when a ecto or green drops, you have the screenshot of the drop and the other people kicking you and can report them. More likely this would be rare and that instance could EASILY be fixed by a kick vote resulting in you returning to town with all unclaimed drops, just as it does in missions. This has been discussed a thousand times, the people that object are objecting because they are the AFKers and the Leechers. No other excuse. A Vote Kick would do way more to help the game than to hurt it. Everyone that isn't a leeching AFKer should sign this.

Completely agree with the OP.
We can't avoid implementing everything because of a slight chance of abuse.
Let's face it, there is a remote chance that anything and everythin has the potential for abuse. This is not a valid reason to discredit an idea.
Also, as someone else mentioned, just have the person's share of drops disappear if he is booted.
Not aimed at the people above at all, but I also question why anyone would not want this option, if it was properly implemented.

A simple timer would prevent a vote kick from becoming malicious.
Player **** ****** has been idle for the past 5 mins. Press 1 to initiate henchman replacement. Press 2 to wait additional 5 mins.
The players could not initiate the kick. Only decide the proper fashion to deal w/ the afker.

This has come up so many, many times. The biggest thread on the subject is here. Anyway, forum rules state that you should check the Index of Ideas (which links to the thread I just mentioned, by the way) and do a search (which will yeild several results on this very subject, including being able to replace them with a henchman) before you post an idea.
