Help me out building a nifty necromancer?

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd ask you experienced people to help me out with my PvE necromancer (Factions only). She's got Ritualist as her second profession, and she's still just level 19 – and I feel as if though I just don't know what I should do with her. I honestly don't know which skills to pick, nor where to find the ones that would work best. I'd prefer to be able to do death and blood damage over using minions. I play monk most of the time so this is rather new for me, and though I've tried to look through the Necromancer Basics thread, I really didn't find much on Necro/Rit that I found very helpful.

Are there any elite skills that are good at this stage in the game, that I can actually cap before getting to the whole Kurzicks/Luxons part?

Most of all: just please, pretty-please help me with a build that will be something nice to aim for, I'll be so grateful. I have a Rit/N and a N/Me, so I think I can help you out.

Since your preference is Blood & Death, but no minions, you should try the following:

Vampiric Gaze (Blood)
Vampiric Swarm (Blood)
Life Siphon (Blood)
Fetid Ground (Death)
Bitter Chill (Death)
Lifebane Strike (Blood)
Jaundiced Gaze (Blood)
Flesh Of My Flesh (Restoration)

Naturally, I don't like combining Blood & Death. I cannot remember if you can get Virulence or not. If you can, get it (its an elite) and toss out Lifebane Strike, Bitter Chill and Jaundiced Gaze, then take enfeebling Touch and Oppressive Gaze.

My oppinion is to have the following:
Curse + Blood
Blood + Restoration

There are several elites that are okay that you can get before you have to decide if you want to by Kurzik or Luxon. And there are elites that you can find along the way to get your faction points. There are also elites at the 2nd last mission of the game (bring 2 cap sigs).

Did you think I should've picked curses over either blood or death? Lol, an angel? I'm a Necro or a Rit, we command spirits and corpses, we are not guides for the dearly departed.

Personally, I like the combination of Curse & Blood.

Spiteful Spirit (e)
Parasitic Bond
Life Siphon
Vampiric Gaze
Blood Renewal
Well of Blood/Suffering/Blood Ritual
Sig of Capture/Mark of Subversion/Strip Enchantment
Res Signet.

Obviously, you can't get all of these spells, since some can be only found in Prophecies. I have both. You can get Vampiric Swarm, Jaundiced Gaze and Lifebane Strike to replace Well of Blood, Mark of Subversion or Strip Enchantment. I'm not sure if you can get them all, but I think Well of Blood is a Prophecies spell.

I use that and MM. I don't find Death magic as useful as Curse & Blood for non-MM.

You can create devistating walking bombs (Use Signet of Creation with animate minions + death nova).

You can also go into pure Channeling with maxed Soul Reaping, and gain energy from all of your dead foes.

Restoration is good, as is Communion. Just make sure that your spirits aren't near the enemy.
