Drinkmaster Tahnu

This is a rather simple quest where you have to beat a lvl 24 NPC. It only tales a few minutes. However, once you have defeated him, he strolls off rather purposefully in a North Easterly direction.. so I decided to follow him. Unfortunately he became stuck in a group of peasants, but continues to try and carry on walking, so this is obviously not his final destination.

Even him getting stuck in the group of peasants feels like part of the puzzle, as you can talk to the peasants and get them to turn to look at you, almost as if you are meant to enable him to pass through, but I could not do it.

Just another little mystery from the game. I just wondered if anyone knows where he finally goes? or if anyone who takes this quest feels like trying to follow him.

I've heard he dies right before Kaineng Center and that you can cap an elite skill off his corpse...

There is a similar thing on the island where a red skull member is talking to a farmer. When the convo is done he walks away. I decided to follow him the second time. He is marked as friendly while he is talking, once he gets to a certain point far away he turns unfriendly and was killed by a wandering guard patrol.

All I know is that Tahnu ends up outside Kaineng Center. Drops to the floor, says something before passing out or dying.

I just stepped over him and went inside to get my reward.

Isn't there a clip of dialogue when you beat him up, along the lines of 'oh I must've had one too many, gotta go back to the bar' or something.

I just started over with a new character and re-did this quest - and then I found this thread. Darn - wish i'd followed him now...

when i was returning from the chef to do the afflicted guard, i saw tahnu walking towards kaineng center, and i saw him die before the gate, he has the elite enraged smash, same as the aflicted guard.
