I have an ebon bow string... where is ebon damage particularly good? Is there a table somewhere that states the elemental vulnerabilities in different areas?

I know enough to use Icy weapons in certain places, and fire in others. But where in the world is Ebon (earth) damage useful?

I find ebon is generally usefull all around.

Not a ton of enemies have a resistance to earth damage... so Ebon is a good choice for multi-purpose.

Unfortunately I don't have a link or anything to provide you, I would suggest checking out guildwiki. You might find something but dont take my word for that, honestly I haven't checked.

To me, the best two bowstrings for an "all-around" bow would be either Sundering or Ebon.

My reason being:
Sundering and Ebon both do not have any real drawbacks (like -1 HP regen or Energy Regen...)
Sundering and Ebon do not require any conditions to be fufilled for them to take effect (like you need to have a poison attack... )

The reason why I choose Ebon over any other element is because:
Ebon is the least defended-against element, (Only Ele's have earth defense... IIRC anyway.) and therefore, will have the most potential damage.

I myself prefer Sundering beause:
My "all around" bow is a Recurvebow Class weapon
Recurvebows are often used for interuption.
Most targets you are interupting have about equal physical and elemental armor, and therefore the Armor penetration *even if it is marginal* helps. (Only exception is like warriors... but what will you interupt on them... healing Signet... thats about it :/)

Yeah.
