I had only 3 spells: Meteor shower,Immolate,Fireball

Because I had just this 3 spells,my clone casted Meteor shower while i casted on him Immolate.
I was run from the place where he casted Meteor shower,I come behind him,casted Fireball followed by Immolate-he was killed in 6 sec

Maybe this was luck,but i think this is the best way!

Hardest is monk primary, in my opinion, but i did it cause i had mesmer secondary, and i did pure domination magic on him,he was to stupid and he kept using spells.This was on lvl 15 too

I once saw a level 9 monk (didn't see his other class) that had done it...don't ask me how. Monk primaries definetly have the hardest time.

I suspect that with a good spike the dopple would go down. And spikes are what elementalists are meant to do (that and massive AoE in most PvE).

By the way don't try to tell me that air spikes the best. I know that, but fire can spike too.

lol, monks are easiest! Max smiting, points in healing, and enough in weapon for min requirement.

Equip Healing Breeze and Retribution and go kill him while you use HB on yourself. He only uses it for degen so won't use it at all and will keep attacking you until dead.

yeah, I beat him first try in like 10 seconds with my elementalist. Basically avoided his meteor swarm when he cast it first, then hit him with mine, fireball and immolate, and he was basically dead.

I was surprised how fast mine went down.

I eqipped four attunements and while it was busy casting those I threw Meteor Shower, followed immediatey with Fireball and Flare and poof, like that.... he was gone.

Tanks have it the easiest. At lvl 15 I killed him with a hammer. :|

You just have to make sure that you interupt its healing.

I did with my ele pre-aoe nerf. Down in about 5 secs while the doppleganger was casting mantras of lightning, earth and water. (I was using fire magic)

For my second ele to ascend I made a 55hp ele and slaughtered him.

for monks:
try using retribution and reversal of fortune and watch him die.

Although I have not tried ascension on too many other professions besides elementalist, it seems to me that elementalists should have it the easiest. I know it was quick and easy for me to bring the doppelganger down. While he was casting fire attunement i just spammed fireball and immolate at him (I may have used arcane echo on fireball, i dont remember). If he had time to cast meteor shower, i would just move out of the way, and keep spamming until he died.

necros also have it rather easy all they gota do is bring their high sac skills and he goes down in no time

Warrior is the easiest. Just bring Frenzy, go afk for about a min, come back he'll be dead. You can even use frenzy, he'll die.

For me i found ranger to be the easiest.
Distrating shot. Troll unguent. Power shot. 3 or more spirits.
He dies before he gets the last spirit down

At one point monk was the easiest. The dopple never used healingbreeze, so you just take healing breeze, retribution and a wand and retribution/wand him to death while using breeze to stay alive. Now he uses Healing Breeze
