where do Grinning Dragon axes drop?

I have been looking for a gold Grinning Dragon axe for a while, and I know that blue and white ones (imperfect, with low damage) drop from these L18 vermin near Senji's Corner.

I assume that there must be more advanced enemies somewhere, which can occasionally drop gold axes... but what and where? Can anybody tell?

There are higher level guys that look like vermin hanging out in the Jade Sea areas. No idea if they drop the axe you want.

I've yet to see a max grinning dragon axe.

I remember thinking they were pretty sweet, but I'm still waiting for a max one.

Oh yes, the max gold Grinning Dragon axes do exist, enough to look at the GWG auction, and I've seen two offers here on the forums. I am still curious where I have a chance to find one myself, though.

I've seen that axe drop many times in the deep. that's luxon elite mission. It often drops from chests along with vertebreaker and zodiac items

Just to make sure... shogun avatar, was it really "Grinning Dragon" axes, not "Dragoncrest" axes?

Yeah I'm quite sure I merchant'd more than my fair share of max grinning dragons.. i took one look at them and decided they were so ugly no one could possibly like them...
