Same things happened with Fellblades and Chaos axes. Although those had obvious farm spots. This wont hit the price of those annytime, but they wont still in the millions if they drop liek this IMO> 1500k+

i think the increased droprates are having less of an effect on items' value than the massive amount of players with the means (wealth) to actually purchase large items, who are now quitting the game.

I tihnk increased drop rate and loss of buyers combined destroys prices. As mroe thigns are dropped, the few people who have the money to pay 1mil+ for them buy them, but after that theyre are non left. They have either left the game or have already boughten a perfect one and no longer want one, and they are sold at a much lower value.
