Ranger 2nd profession help?

I want to craete a ranger but dont know what to have as a second profession as i wouldn't mind using it for farming so I was wodering if i could have help in creating a build that is good for this. also weapon help would be good.

let me direct you to a link that has a ton of links to ranger farming builds, then you can decide what you want. Solo Farming, list of builds. i'd probably go monk just for the sole skill 'rebirth' you can always change your secondary in case you've forgotten and ranger usually take secondaries for a skill or two (such as mantra of resolve if your a trapper). of course there are exceptions to this, but i think monk would work fine until you got to a point to change your secondary. if your looking for a build to use farming, then i've given you the thread that has a list of builds, just read through that and you'll be good. as for a weapon, i dont know if your asking for someone to give you a bow or asking what type is good. either way, i can't help you simply because there are many types of bows and each bow is best used in different situations.

i say pick between mesmer and monk

I tend to prefer monk since I usually only use my secondary for a rez. I did switch my secondary on one of my rangers to ritualist, but that was only so I could use Flesh of my Flesh.

R/W is fun, but anything works really

Rangers can make good use out of any secondary. Browse some of the other posts in this sub-forum and try to find a build that sounds like fun... if the one you pick is pure Ranger, then I would suggest Monk, as those above me said, for a better Rez than the Signet.
