Ithas Bow = unique skin?

Does the Ithas Bow have a unique skin? Or is there another bow drop that looks like it? Can you mod the Ithas Bow?

The Ithas bow is a unique skin and you can mod it. It has the same arrow flight statistics as a flatbow. Don't expect to get any mods back from it though by salvaging it as it's a preorder item which cannot be salvaged or given to anyone else. Any mods put on it, are there till you overwrite them with a different mod, or till you put the bow in the trash.

Its inferior because of requirements and damage.

But it IS unique.

who cares if its unique if u dont see anyone ever use it for real...

The worst of it is that we Americans go that trash bow, and I think Europeans got a focus that adds +1 to their primary attribute.

You do realize that the bow isn't max because ANet didn't want to give an advantage to a select group of players (those you preordered the original). Preorder items can now be max because you can walk into pretty much any city/outpost in the game and find atleast 1 person trying to sell pretty much any item you could need. When the game was first released, this wasn't the case.

A max weapon isn't a major advantage as anyone can get one...

It's a major advantage when you're below level 10 and in the ascalon arena

lol who gives a shiz about ascalon arena...ppl get max armor and play there anyways lol...

Damn straight the game wasn't the same in the beginning. In fact it was a completely different game. Wrt ithas bow being sub standard, go to the screenshot forum, find the 'post your awesome weapon' thread, and look at the entries for the first few weeks/months after release. Yes, those WERE considered awesome weapons back then!

it wouldn't hurt for anet to upgrade the dmg to max on the ithas bow to make it at-level with other weapons...

For a free item, it's not required. Hell, I still use mine every so often just the way it is.
