I'm glad that ANet finally updated most of the armors but on my FoW ascalon helm it doesn't say obsidian like I thought it would have... the +AR updated properly but name didn't change. Does anyone know if ANet will fix this at all?
-Thanks

I did that already and it still doesn't clarify a change of name...

Actually, in the update notes back when they did the big update right before Factions came out, they said what they were planning to do.

This was taken from the April page of the GW update archives:

The word "obsidian" has been added to armor names, in accordance with the naming convention introduced in Guild Wars Factions. For example, the Monk leggings that provide additional armor against physical damage are now called "Judge's Obsidian Pants" instead of "Judge's Pants." (This change does not affect armor crafted prior to this update.)

Oh Wow, didn't know I was getting cheeky... I don't want to get cheeky with anyone, God forbid me from getting cheeky. Oh would you look at that, someone answered my question for me very nicely and didn't get rude, I mean cheeky with me. Awesome! And I'm sure it will be a short subscription because the question has been answered. Thank You CoopaTroopa

Snavis, while I appreciate your annoyance to the initial reply to your post (replies like that annoy the **** out of me as well), sarcasm only works in small doses. Try not laying it on with a trowel.

All pre-change FoW Armor names will NOT have their named changed. The name change only applies to post change FoW armors.

Not to mention that having a pre-name change armor will mean - in the long run - you have a rarer armor. If you are looking at fissure armor, isn't that the whole purpose? I would bet that if you could sell it to other players its worth would at least double.

Be happy

As for the rest - I would have given a similar repsonse to the first reply - I've read all the update notes for 11 months now and didn't immediatly remember that (and even if I has it was obscure enough to be forgiven). It was a valid question and a snarky response to a valid question kinda deserves that in return. It may have been nicer for him to not respond as such, but I can surely understand it.

You can't even really show other player that you have a rare, pre-mod armour, can you ? Apart from opening a trade window I guess ... not much for bragging rights
