Most screwed up green drops ever! 4 times to the same person!

hey all

jus killed rotscale for the 4th time in 40min with a PUG from toa, and the we have had the jammiest ever person in out group.

The green bow rotscale drops, dropped for him all 4 times, nonone else got the bow!!!! Grrrr.

Now, what could be the possible cause of this, he was a tank, so wasnt dealing damage.
damage received? position in group(was 3rd from top of list)? hacking the system? an anet screw up with drop code? sheer brutal luck?
This is the weirdesr drop pattern I have ever, ever seen. 4 times to the same person lol. Anyone have any ideas?

That almost sounds like a bug. I can see, twice. Maybe even three times, but four in a row? That can't be "random."

"Random" encompasses all possibilities - that one is just really improbable. lol

So was he nice enough to share, or did he keep all 4? :P

lol, i won't lie, i'd keep them all too if i was that lucky...i mean come on...you would try to tell your guildies that you just got 4 straight green drops but only 1 to show for it? you'd need all 4 to even make them consider it a possibility. afterall, how often do we get THAT lucky? gotta have some keep sakes...

lol, we were all pissed. more at the game that anything. its the weirdest drops I have ever seen. I mean lol.

Pseudo random numbers.

a guildy & myself went out farming totem axes just for fun. ran thru the first parts then started killing everything. she got 4 totem axes in the 2 runs we did & I got nadda. a glitch?? I hope so but I havent gone back with her to find out yet. sucked bad enough the first time.

Oh I've had the same person take the "good drop" at alot of places.

Random doesn't mean that the drops are equally spread...Random means a Number Generator is at work, and like said, it encompasses all outcomes, from fairly spread, to giving all drops to one person.

Back in the days when I still used to farm, I think the Oro group I was in was rather annoyed with Drago dropping two different green bows to me at the same time.

well as it happens, the day when this thread is resurected is the day i get some screwed up green drops :P

Was out with 2 guildies n 5 henchis in grenths/sf to cap eviscerate.

There were 3 green drops to us human players, more specifically, to me.

We killed morgriff, i got the shadestone, and jus beside him was flint fleshcleaver, i got his staff.

This was jus in grenths may I add.

We get inside SF, and first boss we fight is drago, and I get his 20/20 flatbow. the we kill some stuff, and I get a gold ravenstaff.

I know most of there r useless, part from the bow, but still, those drops were a bit weird.

ps according to my guildies, its cause I slept with the anet staff

Drops are supposed to be random...hmm...

I had in that run, 7 greens, 2 from footpad and 5 in SF (of the 7 bosses we killed in sf), the bonder left cuz he said I was hacking etc. well I was like, wow. (1 boss even dropped 2 for me) The best thing was, they all were like gordacs hook blood, drago's flatbow, brohns rod and stonehart.
