Tyrian Born Character to go into Zen Daijun

Hi,

My Tyrian Born Ranger walked with a group of Cathans to Zen-Daijen. They(I don't have the quests) completed all 3 quests (looking for trouble, rescure, to Zen Daijun). However, at the gate of Zen Daijen, Master Togo won't open the gate for me, so they all go in except my poor Ranger. If I walked there by myself with a group of henches without any quest, will I be able to go in? I need to be there to help my buddy.

You can't get there by walking/running. You'll have to do the missions.

Cantha is not like Tyria. In Tyria, you can bypas large sections of the storyline by running/walking your way across the map.

Cantha does not work that way.

I prefer Tyria, myself.

I guess you couldn't with the Canthans because the gate is closed to them until they do the quest and talk to Togo. If you go on your own, the gate is simply open and you walk right in and make yourself at home.

You do have to go the long way though. Exit Seitung from the North exit, as you did with the Canthans, and go that route. If you leave from the east exit through the Zen Daijun area, you can't get in. I'm not sure if you have to do the Minister Cho's estate first or not.

i should have been more precise.

you can run around , explore, kill everything but not officially get and do the mission.

my answer was to him getting in to help his friend which would have to be entering together.

Tyrian characters can "get and do" the island missions.

They have to go up to the gate to the outpost without any Canthan born chracters in the party, and the gates are simply open. Then you just walk into the outpost.

Its the same outpost as the Canthan born characters...you can even party with them and complete the mission with them. BUT, it gives the party leader a warning "your group contains members from another campaign, are you sure you want to go?" - this is because if a Tyrian born chracter is doing the mission - no exp or skill points are rewarded for beating it. (It IS completed though, with the swords and spear in the icon, just no exp or skill points).

They allow tyrain chracters to do this, so they can get the "Protector of Cantha" title.

Hmmm... it could be that you have to do Minister Cho's before Zen Daijun, but I'm not sure about that (that's the way my Tyrian mesmer did it). But you are right that all you have to do is walk there (the long way).

BTW, there's another myth regarding having to group with at least one Canthan character in order to enter/complete the Shing Jea missions. This isn't true either, as I did Minister Cho's with all henchies.

Edit: Well, after I fought through all the DB errors, I see everyone else posted the same thing, so this is a little superfluous, but w/e.
