Frenzy and Rush(Sprint)
Rest are too passive for PvP. Typically they rely on the enemy targeting you which means that as soon as they see you are a defensive tanker, it means your DPS will be lowered, therefore your target priority will also be lower.
People do take Dolyak or Ob-Flesh as warriors into PvP... its so very amusing to see them being completely useless for 20 seconds at a time. Things like Shield stance have the similar effects.

why does every post about warrior become a PVP orientated one lately oO?
anyway, in pve, yes, defensive stances are useful, but unless youre purely the tank (as in sorrows furnace etc), the only stance you might consider using imo are speed boost and or attack rate boost.. Gladiators defense is a serious skill for soloing crowds of melee monsters. the mesmer stances are useful for mitigating dmg too
in pvp, true, defensive stances really limit you in your true role

Watch Yourself ! good armor boost for yourself, up constantly (4 adrenaline), and good protection for your group if thing go ape (+20 AL turns that flimsy nightgown into a decent chainmail).
Best thing is, it can stack with another stance, since I realised writing this reply it's not a Stance but a Shout. Heck, someone else started it, Dolyak Signet is not a Stance, but, er, a Signet.
Anyhow, not enough warriors (I mean PvE) carry Watch Yourself. Protect the party ! Casters are stupid ! Be their friend, and keep yelling in their ears ! Watch Yourself ! Don't let that critter munch on your arm ! Fire burns ! Look on both sides before crossing ! Stop picking your nose !

... pills ... need my pills
Well, shouts have good synergy with stances : On Your Knees!

Dwarven Battle Stance? Though a hammer war could use Renewing Smash. Most likely an elite stance. Gotta get that knockdown though. I know, Glad's Def, Shock, On your Knees, Glad's Def.

TACTICS FTW!!! Samely, you also do jack all damage, so everyone ignores you and then drop a couple of hexes on you and watch you die while dancing.
