Since factiosn had came out there has been an outcast. The Assassin, why dont people like them? they are a meeler and have the armor of a caster.

But i have proved people wrong over and over and OVER again! with 1 and only 1 build. and im about to share it with you all.

-If Foe has Degen on you quickly hit Shadow Refuge
-If you go under 150 hp Hit Shadow Form(E)
-If in Shadow Form (E) you still have Degen use Shadow Refuge
-By now For SHOULD be dead
Note:Horns Of The Ox+Falling Spider only works if there are no Adjectent Foes around, So pick a lone target like the silly charging warrior or the monk in the back.

Have you tried solo killing the "Master of Lightning" NPC E/W at Isle of the Nameless?

What if someone spams Blinding flash on you? I've tried something similar to try and Beat the Master of Lightning and its always hit or miss for me....

Yea, i had faced a person with Blinding Flash before, it had peed me off for a while untill he had no energy left, it is a very annoying skill but easily counterable by blinding th foe right back OR usign shadow form, With shadow for mhe cannot blidmn you

And once shadowform ends, you die rather quickly. With your build, and the fact that say to only use minors except for vigor, I'm gonna guess your attribute is somehting allong the lines of

dagger mastery 12
critical strikes 13
shadow arts 7

At these stats, when shadow form ends, you are only going to have 26 health left, pretty much any low level spell will kill you. To top that off, shadow form will only have a duration of 12 seconds.

For 1v1, this may work, for any other situation, I see a dead assassin due to lack of energy, or combo chain screwup (horns failed it's knockdown for some reason).

I like assassins, but I wish people would stop trying to fit horns/falling spider into every build I see. They are an ok combo, but they don't fit every situation and as such, do not fit every build.

Good point Dargon, don't forget guys we also have Mark of Instability to put somone on the ground then use the falling spider. More energy efficient to boot.

I have an assassin, finished the story line missions; I love my assassin. But I'm also a monk, and a warrior, and a ranger, and an ele/mo.

"The Assassin, why dont people like them?" -- Well speaking as a monk, in the lower half of the game about one in three assassins is a good assassin. The other two dash in with the warriors, tank and die. Monks and players do not like that. Pick up the loot and rez the assassin.

In the upper half of the game, most assassins who make it that far are good and would be useful to any group. But by then, attitudes have formed and hardened.

Sad, but true. And you know it is not wondrous skills that make the assassin a survivable and deadly player. It is simply watching what is going on, thinking about what you are doing, being where you could be most useful at that instant (like protecting your casters) and staying mobile at all times.

hmm, didnt even think about Temple Strike. I just went in with my SteelFist build and that was that. But even Beguiling Haze on his Lighting orb should shut him down is you can attack fast enough

Cool I'll try Signet of Malice out next time ^.^

I've managed to beat Master of Lightning every once in a while as long as he is not able to cast Blinding flash on me in time.... My goal was to be able to beat all of the solo NPC builds in the isle of the nameless with one universal build, which I know is probably useless, but IMO pretty fun ^.^

Crit 14
Shadow 9
Daggs 13

Palm Strike
HoTox
Falling Spdr
Twisting Fngs
Wild Blow
Crit Def
Crit Eye
Shadow Ref

I was recently able to beat the following with the build mentioned above:

Master of Hammers - consistently
Master of Axes - consistently
Master of healing - consistently (takes a bit longer)
Master of Hexes - consistently
Master of Enchantments - consistently
Master of Survival - consistently
Master of Lightning - hit or miss (depending on if he does blinding flash early enough during the fight)
Master of Energy Denial - not quite consistently, Its always whoever losses hp the fastest, most of the time I win thank goodness...

Lambentviper - what build were u using to pwn Mr. Lightning??? (you can pm me if u wish)
