Item skills are like the Res Sig. They have a certain amount of charges but give a quick decent effect. These effects can from healing to dmg to conditioning to condition removal, ect. They are quick use skills, but for the price of this quick use the skill can only be used so many times.
Here are some quick examples:
Healing Balm Energy: 0 Cast Time: 1/4 Recharge: 5
Target touched ally gains 40-160 health {Healing Prayers}
6 Charges
Bear Trap Energy: 0 Cast Time: 1 Recharge: 8
When bear trap is activated one nearby foes is crippled for 10 - 22
seconds and takes 15-39 damage. Bear Trap goes off after 90 seconds {Wilderness Survival}
5 Charges
Enchanted Arrow Energy: 0 Cast Time: 0 Recharge: 4
Your next bow attack does 1-8 extra damage and cannot be blocked
or evaded. {Marksmanship}
15 Charges
Ether Seal{E} Energy 0 Cast Time: 1 Recharge: 5
Gain 6-30 energy. When Ether Seal is out of charges use to lose all energy and gain 3 charges on Ether Seal. When doing this Ether Seal takes an additional 40 seconds to recharge. {Energy Storage}
3 charges
Potion of Mental Agility Energy 0 Cast Time: 1 Recharge: 30
Your next spell recharges instantly. {Fast Casting}
2-6 Charges
Adreniline Potion Energy: 0 Cast Time 1/4 Recharge 10
Gain 1-3 strikes of adreniline. {Strenth}
6 Charges
Edit: Ohh yeah forgot to mention what happens when you kill a boss or gain a moral boost. Item skills should regain 1 charge up to its maximum, like the res sig.
