Should GW Have A /FPS Command?

Hey. I was thinking back about when I played Diablo II and I was comparing others games to GW other than it and I remembered the handy /FPS command from Diablo II. I thought this was a pretty nice command that gave you live info on your game speed and such. It was pretty convenient with it being a small figure at the top of your screen and would only go away when you typed the command again.

I mainly wanted to know what other GW players think of this and if they think this is a good idea for GW to have.

Here’s a screenshot of it.

It wouldn't be a bad idea, IMO, but I just thought I'd mention, if you wanna see your framerates, there is already a great utility called FRAPS (http://www.fraps.com) which you can use in any game. It's very easy to setup and use.

GW has this, right click on the GW shortcut on you desktop, and after the quotes put a space and then -perf

when you load the game, that information will be in the top right hand corner

I'd prefer an in game option to toggle it on and off, than runnnig a shortcut to get it via a command line option.

These days, any game worth buying will have a framerate code.

They should also add a /time and /date command, just simple everyday things...

Um, it would be nice, but I can think of a lot of things I'd rather have ArenaNet do before they mess with this.

/favor
/fps
/time

Are all commands that people have wanted from Beta->today. I'm hoping they eventually get around to adding them, but I'm sure more important things need to come first.

For all those people too lazy to turn their heads to look at a clock?

/favor before anything else. Having to map just to know who has favor is pretty silly, and always has been.

/favor
America currently has favor of the Gods. To win the favor of the Gods from America, Europe must win 3 more times.

Wow, how hard can that be?

I'd use a /time. Since I usually don't run GW in windowed mode and there's no clock in my room, I currently keep my mobile phone propped up against the keyboard to act as a timepiece.

Turns out I'm the obsessive type.

Okay, how about making Elite missions enterable without the need of a stupid taxi system? Wow, how hard can that be?

It has nothing to do with how "hard" something is and everything to do with the priorities that ArenaNet needs to set.

You guys are right about Anet needing to get their priorities together… It seems they would rather dick around with the login screen or menu’s color tone… look at how many times they have changed it, now its some ugly square on the bars.

But this is really just a simple task for them to do.

And we NEED /favor and /time… this is common sense that we need this.

Not just your time...

(USA)
Pacific- **:** AM/PM
Mountain- **:** AM/PM
Central- **:** AM/PM
Eastern- **:** AM/PM
And other countries...

Or we would even have guild members or friends listed on a time sheet
Jim- **:** AM/PM
Eddie- **:** AM/PM
Bob- **:** AM/PM

Another example… /Time Jim
“The current time for Jim is 2:45 PM”

Just to make this clear for you, but back to the /FPS

A time command? Is it THAT hard to look at your phone/watch/clock?

Most people want to be able to turn it on and off without having to exit+reload the game.
