Today I just noticed GWguru have installed a new ad-ware to their website! It's intellitxt and it's very annoying thing!
As you see here, intellitxt is an ad-ware that doesn't run on your own computer but rather on the server (i.e. GWGuru) So there's no way that you, the user, can remove it!
I hate ad-ware and I hate it and hated it...
Ugh!! Remove Intellitxt!!!

And yet, I still see daily complaints on the performance of this site... on the auctions. People want search enabled, the site to run faster, but we can't afford another server because people use adblockers and won't enable ads. They want us to "purchase more bandwidth", to "fix the site problems", to "get more servers"... all while pulling hundreds of dollars out of our own pockets because apparently an ad, or a little green link is just offensive to their internet sensabilities.

I normally at least take the time to visit the sponsors that interest me. Some of the other ones, I just don't find appealing. I'm sure this has been discussed ad infinitum by the staff, but is it possible to put a paypal donation link so that the money is given to maintaining, upgrading, and such for the site?

Yea, we had a problem with those on GWO when we had Intellitext, and we got rid of it because it also interfered with the forum login. I havent seen any on the forums here (unless Im blind), so GWG shouldnt have that problem.
But Inde is right, people ask for so many things, but then block the ads, the primary money makers for sites, which makes it hard to make money to provide those things. Some people make it a point to click at least 1 or 2 ads a day on GWO (all on their own), and I dont think thats a bad thing to do
Support GWG and click the ads to keep it running

Just like on the ads, you need to let us know
I haven't seen any go to a gold-seller site yet so please just PM or email me the link at [email protected] and we'll take care of it.

Previously I had all ads blocked because I absolutely cannot stand the flash and blinking, but I've since switched guru to the whitelist. I like guru and want it to continue... best site for GW on the entire internets.

I have absolutely no problem with ad and intellitxt on guru webpage because I understand they are needed for the site to go on.
But today, I saw an intellitxt on the homepage about selling in game gold for real money, cheap from a website (I'm not going to mention the address). Isn't that against EULA. Is this a good thing for Guru to ad it? I don't know if guru can choose which to ad.
Edit: just noticed madman420 already mentioned the problem a few days ago. But the problem came back again.
