Character name

I would like to change my charcter name......
does anyone know if this at all possible ?

As far as I know, unless it's inappropriate (vulgar, racist etc.) you can't.

if it is a fairly old character remember the birthday minipets before deleting and starting a new character just to change the name

The reason I believe that you cannot change a character name is due to scamming. For instance, you could scam a lot of people, and then change your name, and continue scamming.

Well, there's no reason you can't just switch to another character, so I doubt that's the reason.

I'm assuming it's because you just can't trust an entire gaming community. Unless it cost some large sum of money, people would be changing their names left and right, and that could upset the server big time. I think.

And WHY would people "be changing their names left and right"? That doesnt make any sense, unless the name changers are scamming, in which case money wouldnt be that much of a big deal, and if it did cost ALOT of money, itd just be too inconvenient for decent players. I think there should be a petition for name changes(NOT a signable petition), like if you found out too late you misspelled a name, or found one that you liked better. This would have to be within a certain time limit(not level limit), otherwise it would be abused. Id also like to see more letters for a name, maybe up to 24, instead of 19(why wasnt it an even 20?).
