New Mesmer Skill Suggestion: Compassion

Let me put it this way

If I punched a guy, and then felt sorry, it would be regret. If I saw a guy with a black eye because someone 'else' punched him I would show compassion.

Compassion must be done by a third person, and not by the person attacking. If you can somehow incorporate this concept into your skill, I think it will be much more accurate^^.

A good way would be to have your party members show compassio, example:

Enchantment spell. For [a number of seconds] whenever you are hit by physical damage, you gain 1 energy for each ally nearby.

Now in this skill example, your allies will feel sorry for you because you got hit, by making it into a spell, you are tapping into their compassion, and thereby gaining energy from it^^.

Compassion - n 1: a deep awareness of and sympathy for another's suffering [syn: compassionateness] 2: the humane quality of understanding the suffering of others and wanting to do something about it [syn: pity]

The idea behind the name of the skill was that the target of the spell is preparing to whack you, then magically having a change of heart feels compassion for you (or has mercy or takes pity) and stops his attack (interrupting it) and then wants to make amends (energy gain).

I was more concerned about the mechanics of the idea, not the accuracy of its name, but I am willing to entertain other suggestions for the skills name. Perhaps something like Change of Heart, Invoke Mercy, Invoke Pity, Lenity, etc...
