I am Kurzick Allied player so i dont know much about the Luxons... But i have noticed that when the Luxons pushed the Kurzicks back behind Saltspray Beach it was so easy to gain faction. I know it is to keep the battles even but i have seen that the Luxons like to have us in the Etnaran Keys... alot, Where it is easyer to gain faction and it is harder to gain if you are Kurzick. My Idea for a new addition to Alliance Battles is to Give the winning side more faction for winning on the other Faction's turf. For Example: The Kurzicks win about 1250 faction for winning a game on Saltspray Beach, If the Kurzicks pushed the Luxons back to Etnaran Keys and won a game, Make the faction that the Kurzicks win like 1400, or the same for Luxons. Keep the homeland advantage but make the winnings more desireable to win while we have pushed the other faction back. And make the winnings increase with each push back by the other Faction.

one prob salt spray beach is middle ground, and tbh were most battle happen anyways so makeing this new faction bonus, pretty much obslete.
also i fear that this would push down the prices even further of the faction materials.
cheap prices are good but a wreacked ecomnamy isn't.

Jadeite and amber should cost more. Your right, since they gave more faction away prices have dropped. I guess 15k wont cost alot now hmm?

It might add more "motivation" to the players to push the other side back to get the higher reward, even tho the odds would be against them.

Not that horribly as it was, but you still need 80 Jadeites/Amber for the 15k for full set, plus 'the other rare material' and basic materials. Thus, the price is still way above 100k in total, if the player crafting the armor has to buy all the materials.

Most Luxon these days wait till the lines at Entaran as thats their bias so they can easily get faction and then they stop when it hits saltspray as thats Kurzick bias. Yes yes yes i know its supposed to be neutral but it isnt, Grenz is, but Saltspray isnt. Another one of ArenaNets well tested features.... this of course is why the line bounces back between the 2 constantly becuase its from 1 bias to the other.

i dont know if Luxons are necessarily losing Saltspray to FF etnaran more easily. I think we are just losing XD

Me personally i dislike Etnaran keys, I dont consider it a fair map. I like the flow of battle at Saltspray more.
-----------------

On topic, i feel like the increased bonus for the winning side already gives a better incentive, regardless of the map.

If you dont wanna be at a disadvantage, stop winning ;D

I think that it's a good idea to adjust faction rewards depending on advantage/disadvantage of each side you're in. So people can have some incentive to continue fighting in disadvantageous maps. When most people are just seeking for faction, will a Luxon ever bother to fight in Ancestal Lands?

For example, for Luxon: (factions per point / winning bonus / total winning score)
Ancestal - 4.5 / 550 / 2,350
Grenz - 3 / 375 / 1,875
Saltspray 2 / 250 / 1,250
Eterean 1.5 / 175 / 925
Kanaaki 1 / 125 / 625

Just to illustrate an idea, maybe if this idea ever gets implements it won't be so extreme.

For Kurzicks, reverse the above order for the locations.

And also how about adding faction redemption NPCs (materials / donation) to each side of all 5 alliance battle locations, so teams with a good winning steak wouln't have to break because someone has 10,000 faction?

id say you cant do this cuz they already increase factions reward already and its fina as it is

Maybe not AS expensive as before, but it's still 120+k plus cost of basic materials for a full set with amber hovering around 1k a piece. Anybody just starting factions and not earning a lot of money/faction per day will take a while to build up for a full 15k set.

Please take a look at my previous post. My suggestion is somewhat similar to the OP, except you gain less faction (maybe not as dramatic as my last post) instead when you're on easier map, such as Eterean Keys or Kanaaki Cliffs as a Luxon. Because Luxons have much higher chance winning on Eterean Keys compared to Grenz Frontier.

The current border situation is that many Luxons wants to play on Eterean only and Kurzick on Saltspray only, and people leaving left and right when they pushed their opposition forward.

15k costs the same...
Theoretically speaking FoW=Kurzick 15k=Luxon 15k=Any other 15k
but because of the rarity of the specific materials needed...
FoW>Kurzick15k>Luxon15k>Any other 15k
Besides, if anything these materials should be cheaper, that way alliances don't feel so ripped off because of the work they put into owning a town instead of earning money...
