As first I thought it's just some random 55 afker in random arena that leaves. But now I'm starting to think this is a new faction farming bot.
This is the behavior of the bot:
- It joins a RA game. Ok, that's ez AI.
- It sits in game for about 2 minutes and then leave. And usually in RA by the 2 minute mark, there's already 1 or 2 kills happen with or without the bot. And so the bot walks away with 20 factions in 3 minutes, 20 * 20 * 8 = 3200 factions or more a night.
This is a new issue to be addressed...
Possible bot in RA

Technically, they're not bots. In RA someone is manning them. In Elona Reach, maybe not... They often leave before the match is even over. Once I called one out and typed "55 monk" in team chat and the monk left immediately.
Okay, that's the what, now for the why...
Obviously gaining faction is of no use to a farmbot whose purpose is to grind gold for sale. If they were there to gain faction, they'd at least try to win. So why go to RA and ruin everyone's fun? (if "fun" and "RA" can really be synonymous
)
But consider Anet's policy- they ban users for repeated "bot-like" behavior, no? Well, going into Elona Reach and killing the same Minotaurs 300 straight times without taking a break is pretty bot-like, no? BUT, warping into Random Arena and "doing a little PVP" every so often would theoretically make you look less like a bot and more like a human, wouldn't it?
Let's consider these "gold for cash" operations. They're obviously big-time money makers, and banned accounts come out of their profits. So they have to think of clever ways not to get accounts banned. It really wouldn't be hard to schedule breaks in farming, where a live person takes the Mo/W to RA for a little while and "participates" in some PVP battles in order to break the monotony of "bot-like" behavior.

Nothing said here is proof of botting. Doing 300 farm sessions on a row will possibly just mean that; either the farmer has no life or is taking turns with family members.
Afk'rs in RA are a normal occurance. There should be added a program to kick them. Since that highly unlikely will happen, you just have to cope with them.
Bot programmers are known for their flexibility and their programs for their simplicity. It is almost impossible to deal efficiently with them.
