Can't get past the Graspings darkeness

i've tried to kill the graspings with my monk (600hp setup)
they degen my energy to 0 and i can't do anything about it
my build:

Spirit bond
PS
SoJ
Elemental resistance
Blessed signet
Blessed aura
retribution
balthazar's spirit

--- my health is 381 +45 (my off hand)---
when i aggro the graspings, i wear a totem axe
i always aggro a group of 4-5 graspings
they deal enough dmg, but 'fear me' always PWNS me
anybody has an idea of what i'm doing wrong?

i suggest doing the dual SB build with a monk from ur guild then aggroing graspings and aatxes at the same time if you want energy and to live

at first , make sure u have 15 AL armor, and only the head scalp feet and pants equiped.

I assume this is a solo build, try to fit in Essence bond, wich also delivers 1 energy per hit. I duo this with my brother and he has both B.Spirit and Essence bond, and he always has enough energy, even against the squids.

I prefer duo-ing cuz it goes faster and its better company.

Why are you using Elemental Resistance? Seems like you need to be using Sympathetic Visage instead. Turn it against them.

i need blessed signet Technically you don't need b-sig. In the beginnin when you cast your enchants just cast 2 of em the w8 till full energy cast the 3rd w8 till full energy cast the last. Since you are using a focus item i'm assuming you have
42 energy (i dont know your armor or your rod/sword stats). With 42 energy casting 2 enchants will cost 20 so that wont take to long to recharge with 2 regen then after you cast the 3rd recharge agian and when you cast the 4th you will have 32 energy leftover. And if you cast Spirit Bond and PS b4 you go you'll have 12 energy and onyl a couple of hitst ill you can use SOJ. although with your build it'll be hard to work around interupts. But anyway thats how you wouldnt need b-sig. You'll also have to becareful to always have atleast 20 energy b4 going into a group so while you are fighting any group try to make the outcome end oyu with 20 energy.

You could go Mo/W and bring Bonetti's Defense. For lowering your AC against the darknesses you could spam Healing Signet...

i tried loads of build but with this build there is again a problem... blessed signet is very very usefull so i don't wanna drop it :/
did somebody managed to kill the graspings?

I have no problems with them, unequip head piece, that's it.
time SB & PS just before they use fear me.

or do you use it before: SB and PS --> dis blow ---> wait a bit --> cast it

do you aggro all the groups or not? actuelly you should not have to renew PS, so you need 10.
I cast PS/SB, signet, ER and go. let them hit you 2/3 times and renew SB (fear me is 4 adre). let them shout. if they're not nearly dead (they should normally), let them hit, then cast, fear me... switch between slots if you have energy problems.
for interrupts, cast signet as much as you can: if it get interrupted, well, you won't be annoyed anymore. if not, 9energy to recast you enchants!


btw frenzy seems to not increase damages taken...tried, died. ER works a lot better.

edit: plus, it's a signet...plus, you can use it against smites, it doesn't lower zealot's fire damages. against coldfires too. but you need to spam it.

I have been running the build Devolution posted for a few days now and
works great, I don't think this counts, but I was able to kill all the
Grasplings but they killed me at the same time to...I was bummed, I had
cleared the chamber and was so close.....just look out for the nightmares.....

I solo'd UW with a similar build but used bonetti's defense instead of ele resistance. Grasps are easy if you integreate them with Aatxes.



Banish is for killing DNs. Staff then Banish = dead.

nop only one. you can handle two, but you'll need a little practice.
as makosi said, there's no problem if you fight them with aatxes.
to kill graspings fasters, you may use SoJ, but you could have energy problems then. spam blessed signet. renew only SB, they won't hurt you too much without PS
