Adjacent foes are struck for ... damage but are cured of any negative conditions. This spell did ignore magical resistance. Why make it what it is now?

I don't think it got nerfed, they just changed the wording?

yeh, it's always been like that

only chage I know of is when they removed the text that said bypasses magical resistance and armour which was wrong

Crystal Wave DOES bypass magical resistance and armor...

It does ignore armor but does not ignore magical resistance. Protective Spirit and Shielding Hands reduce its damage. Tested this at the nameless island.

I believe the "magical resistance" was suppose to mean "Elemental resistance", not as "enchantment resistance" or "spell resistance" etc.

Magical resistence wasn't a consistent and defined term in the game.
