hmmm......I was thinking something flying...I first thought of a Falcon, but I dont think thatd work well with the N.African theme. Vultures maybe..

I would really like to see a flying pet. 
Something like a hawk or eagle, or a larger more mythical bird. I can just see it attacking things now.
Naturally it would have to land if you werent moving. The pets currently have two speeds (they can keep up with you if you use speed boosts). So the slow one can be on the floor, hopping or whatever birds do. And when it needs to go fast (when it attacks, gets left behind etc), it can break into flight.
