Help Me Please.

Well today I was doing a B/P Run and I got a gold Cesta from a chest I id'ed and thought it was a -50 so after I went to LA to sell it. A guy was gunna buy it then declined the trade. I asked what happened. And he said I was a scammer. I was totally shocked and turns out it was -20. I must have overlooked it in the Underworld from excitement. He said he is gunna' report me and get me banned. I tryed to explain I didn't do it on purpose and it was a mistake but he is still going to report me. I seriously thought it was -50.

Most people who say they will report you are too lazy to actually do it, just like me Just a few will do it with screens and all. It's should be stupid after all for being banned for scamming a few K...

I don't think anet care about complaints from immature kids, they probably just bin them, if everyone that was reported got banned there wouldn't be many people left.
Theres lots of scammers in kaening, the same old offer gold isntead of platinum crap and they get away with it for weeks, must be hundreds of people getting scammed and reporting and you rarely see any action by anet.

Besides which, the transaction didn't go through anyway. I highly doubt Anet bans people for ALMOST scamming.

If you did a bait and switch, where you show the -50 then change out to a -20 ; that would be a scam.

in your case, you showed in the trade window a -20 hp item; the buyer then has the opportunity to say no to the trade. There was no scam here, just a goof-up. It is a shame that people cry scam when they have FULL opportunity to verify trade details before they click ACCEPT.

p.s. the -20 HP item is good for invinci when they have a little DP. There is a market for them as well, just not as big of a demand.

Everyone here is right, you won't get banned for an honest mistake. ANet has records of what you were doing, and they will see that you were trying to explain your mistake, and that you hadn't been scamming anyone else. You're clear

the only way Anet would ban a scammer is if they got multiple reports of the same guy scamming. since this only happened once, you should be fine. i'm sure Anet has heard of the concept of "benefit of the doubt"
